I never have to forget to bring a good book. I just bring one, and all my books are right there in it! I just finished re-reading Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss. What an encouragement to step heavenward! Now I've moved on to Tozer, whose quotes I've always loved, but whose books I've never actually read.

Today might have been Noah's birthday. If he had not gone on to Jesus, I would be 39 weeks today, and my c-section was to be scheduled at 39 weeks (my babies take longer to cook). Friday, August 15, 2008. This morning the phone rang around 7:30. I assumed it was an insurance adjuster. Then I noticed on the Caller ID that it was the Carol Stream Police. When I answered the phone, I wondered what they needed. The officer on the phone informed me that they had Garrett's shoes. We have an appointment to pick them up today.
