Fight to Fly: Hellcat roars to life!
http://fight2flyphoto.blogspot.com/2013/01/hellcat-roars-to-life.html
Saturday, January 26, 2013. Hellcat roars to life! Since the aircraft was used as a target drone, there were modifications made to the airframe for servos etc. In order to bring this aircraft back to WWII delivery condition, FHC had portions of the wing re-skinned, so as to give it original panel lines. FHC is known for their attention to detail and spared no expense with the Hellcat. In the coming weeks the aircraft will be moved yet again, but this time, to be painted! Thank you for reading!
Fight to Fly: September 2007
http://fight2flyphoto.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 22, 2007. Aerobatics Flight II: Slow Roll, Immeman, in/outside Humpty, 2 Pt roll, Inverted Flight. Well, today I had my second flight! And boy was it fun! We reviewed the maneuvers we did on the first flight (loop, spins, aileron roll, and inverted flight) then added a few more: Slow Roll, 2-pt roll, Immelman. Really has a deceiving name. Speed has nothing to do with the maneuver as it still requires full stick deflection. It is quite noticeable. The biggest problem I was having with ...

Fight to Fly: July 2007
http://fight2flyphoto.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 16, 2007. The Arlington Fly-In proved to be another great show for 2007. Arriving only for the Sunday show, I was greatly surprised as to the lack of attendance. There were very few aircraft as most pilots moved out earlier in the day. When it comes to photography, I couldn't ask for a better situation! No heads in the way at all! As far as photography goes, conditions were absolutly perfect! Overall I'm still satisfied with the outcome as it was good practice for the upcoming shows I will b...
Fight to Fly: October 2007
http://fight2flyphoto.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 25, 2007. Flight Number Three: Introducing the Half Cuban, plus review. It's been just over a month since I've been up flying! Way too long, especially for flying that is this fun. My instructor has been out of town (more like out of the entire continent) for about three weeks and the weather around here has been real sketchy as of late. We had a bit of a late start due to an air leak in the tail wheel. We had to stop mid-taxiway as the tail wheel was riding on the rims! Boy is that fun!
Fight to Fly: December 2011
http://fight2flyphoto.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 29, 2011. Shooting Lessons pt. II: When in Doubt, Zoom out! The plane jumps all around the frame in a blurry mass if metal. Ever been there? Again, taking notes from my still photography, it took me a while to back off when I first got my Sigma 50-500mm lens. I wanted to be able to see the look on the pilots face as they passed by. Several years later that amusement has warn off for better things such as framing. Same should be done with my video. I need to back it off. Try to find a z...
