People and the Food. The Hunters Inn Ghost. Well known to the locals, The Hunters Inn has its own ghost – a young lady, murdered by her jealous sister, walks the passageways. Particularly vengeful towards the landlady of the house, there are many stories of her exploits recorded by previous landlords. When we arrived, in order to calm ourselves and our locals, and to avoid any impending disasters, we had the Inn ‘exorcised’ by a local priest and, happily since then. all has been quiet!

Jon qualified at Bournemouth where he obtained his M.H.C.I.M.A., before working extensively in France and Australia. In 1972 on his return, he joined the family business and has worked tirelessly to bring quality, home-produced food to your table.
