Around the World in 126 Days: 119 Days
http://126days.traan.net/2015/07/119-days.html
Around the World in 126 Days. Sail away, play lots, drop in on South East Asia, fly home! Saturday, 4 July 2015. As we had eaten ourselves out of house and home (intentionally) it was off into town for a feed at The Brewers Arms. It was quiet in town so I finally got the chance to walk to The Royal Tweed Bridge to attempt a shot of The royal Border Bridge. It still wasn't far enough back to get all twenty-eight arches! This was my last photo taken in Berwick-upon-Tweed, which was most fitting.

Around the World in 126 Days. Sail away, play lots, drop in on South East Asia, fly home! Wednesday, 29 April 2015. As we passed through the edge of town we were instantly in Cheddar Gorge. This is a place for abseiling and cave exploring adventure seekers. It's also a place to mature cheese (Cheddar of course) in the consistent humidity and temperature of the caves. Here's Kelly and I taking a peek to see if any aged cheddar has been left behind. There wasn't any. Tuesday, 28 April 2015. A smart lady, M...

Around the World in 126 Days: Holy Moley!
http://126days.traan.net/2015/07/holy-moley.html
Around the World in 126 Days. Sail away, play lots, drop in on South East Asia, fly home! Friday, 3 July 2015. It seems I've been operating under a serious misapprehension! Not for the first time I hear you say! So here's what I now think I know. The island of Lindisfarne is often referred to just as Holy Island. It has played quite a role in English history going back to the arrival of Christianity into Britain and also the arrival of marauding vikings. The gallery is set up for the odd performance.

Around the World in 126 Days. Sail away, play lots, drop in on South East Asia, fly home! Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Getting about in Northumbria. I may have mentioned viaducts before but just when I least expected it up jumps another one! This little beauty, known as the Royal Border Bridge, has twenty-eight arches (we couldn't get any more into the picture), is longer than Ribblehead and ten years older - built in the 1850s! Eleven more of those wondrous arches! As well as the mighty viaduct there is a bab...

Around the World in 126 Days. Sail away, play lots, drop in on South East Asia, fly home! Wednesday, 1 July 2015. How we got to be! In many ways to the society we have at home. We'll get some more of that story when we visit Lindisfarne Castle. Even though the information was good Bede's World was a little bit funny. There was a farm that hoped to demonstrate that aspect of how monastery life may have been for Bede and his mates. I'm checking out the odd artefact in the Saxon Meeting Hall. We took a litt...
