There comes a time in every urbanite’s life when they must decide if they are going to get the house and car in the suburbs or continue on with the apartment thing. Hole-in-the-wall restaurants around the corner that serve brunch every morning help make that decision a little easier. Who does research anymore really? Wednesday, Jul 28 2010. Many of you keen readers will note that I have already blogged about Astra Deli but I did it as a comparison blog and didn’t give Astra the love it deserves. I have ordered so many things from Astra Deli that it is hard to pick just one. The pancakes or french toast or crepes always come on a separate plate that I then plop on to the other plate. Prices are always reasonable and the Super Specials normally clock in at 12-14$ with tip. Astra Deli : 7.5 bacons out of 10.

It also prompted me to buy my new favorite kitchen item: a Fagor Duo Pressure Cooker. And is going to transform the way I cook. Tamales? Done 20 minutes.
