I came across this video yesterday and I want to share it here. It's long but if you have time it's very interesting. I admire Frank Oz and his character. Great guy! What did you think? Puppet Space: December 2013
http://www.puppetspace.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Links to Patterns and Resources. Monday, December 30, 2013. How I plan a puppet song. I'm currently in planning mode and thought I would share a bit of the process I use to choose, plan and produce a number. It begins with a lot of prayer actually. I am in constant prayer and asking God for direction, inspiration and a message/reason for the show or song. Right now I have several projects and performance ideas in my head but I'll focus on just one song I'm working on right now. Is always a big hit. The l...

Puppet Space: February 2013
http://www.puppetspace.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Links to Patterns and Resources. Thursday, February 14, 2013. I'm in the process of making a rabbit puppet. Nothing is glued yet except for the edges of the head, the ears have wire running around the edge to give them shape. I'm not sure about that nose yet, I was just using some things I had to get an idea of how he will look. What did you think? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Visit my kidmin blog. Puppet Space: September 2014
http://www.puppetspace.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Links to Patterns and Resources. Saturday, September 13, 2014. Black Light Frog Pupppets. This is what I finished today. I started these a month or so ago, but just now finished them up. I'm thinking of adding some details but at least they are ready to practice with! I used the melonhead pattern. Adapted to the size I wanted for the heads, the body pattern is my own and the arms and legs are adapted from a stuffed animal frog I had! What did you think? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Puppet Space: Christmas Song 2014
http://www.puppetspace.com/2014/12/christmas-song-2014.html
Links to Patterns and Resources. Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Our PIT Crew performed a song last Sunday called "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" but it was set to a 60's girl band sound. Super fun and cute! I made everything here except the puppet in the middle. We've had her a long time. :). One fun thing I did was on the angel props, if you look closely you can see that the Joseph, Mary, Jesus sign is the same shape as the angel with wings. There is an identical angel on the other side! Links to Patterns and Resources. Sunday, September 16, 2012. Fluffy Yellow Dog Marionette Puppet. Yesterday I made this:. I wanted a scruffy dog and I think he turned out pretty scruffy. I do need to work on the fur of his body and he's not really finished, everything is just pinned on. His fur is black light reactive. He turned out cute if I do say so myself! I actually made a smaller prototype first just to see if my idea would work. Here's what the prototype looked like:. What did you think?
