Monday, April 25, 2005. Posted by Peklectrick at 6:34 AM. Thursday, April 14, 2005. A Native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt about a tragedy. He said, ‘I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one.’ The grandson asked him, ‘Which wolf will win the fight in your heart? The grandfather answered, ‘The one I feed.’. A native American Indian story. Monday, May 30, 2005. Are you a traitor? Adrian Grima's brilliant interview in the Independent has caused quite a stir with Malta's Radical Right. For those of you who are unaware the Radical Right's. Job is to call anybody who does not agree with their vision of things a traitor. Do you have a different opinion? YOU'RE BETRAYING YOUR PATRIA! Witch hunts should be left for the history books. Those that cherish democratic values please take not. Better still, take action. Posted by Peklectrick at 11:30 PM.

Wednesday, March 29, 2006. The Right, The Family and Multicultural Paranoia. I’ve just been to yet another University debate about multiculturalism. Obviously, the usual points never fail to crop up, but I will only speak about two of them: the supposedly obvious failure of anything multicultural, and the lack of migrant integration. I shall start with the former. If I had a Maltese pound (obviously, we’re patriotic ain’t we? Their methodology (can you call it that? Now this is a bit tricky. How ofte...

Thursday, October 20, 2005. This was sent to the editor three weeks ago. I think I'm correct in assuming that he won't be publishing it. Has anybody, anywhere ever had any sort of say in deciding their own place of birth? Is it to the ANR’s merit that their members were presumably born on Maltese soil to Maltese parents rather than somewhere else? Posted by Peklectrick at 12:06 AM. Thursday, October 13, 2005. Rage against those who criticise me. They can expect that in a matter of days their names will a...

Thursday, March 17, 2005. We live in a democratic society. I wake up in the morning and go to work. I follow orders or get sacked. I obey. I don't ask. I need money to buy life. I can't afford to question. We live in a democratic society. For the lucky ones who have a job, half of their awake-time is spent in an authoritarian institution where you do as somebody else says or else lose the source of a dignified life. We live in a democratic society. We have choices. Not. We live in a democratic society.

Tuesday, January 24, 2006. Isn't it frustrating when the electricity goes off? Isn't it frustrating when the electricity goes off for six straight hours? Isn't it frustrating when the electricity goes off for six straight hours during the only free time you have? If you answered yes to all the above you're sodding right but you'll win nothing. I always get the urge to quote in a loud manner Guido's. Speech when this happens. And I always do. Thanks Gonz. If time is money.you owe me big time. I'm back....

Wednesday, July 27, 2005. Immigrants from the North. I sometimes wonder what the radical right's reaction would be if boatloads of Scandinavian blondes with very little clothing. Start reaching our shores on a regular basis. Would they let the 'poor ladies' rot in detention camps or would they queue to host them in their homes? Would the country be able to afford taking care of them or would they be deemed as the ultimate national burden? Of course the Right would. Posted by Peklectrick at 11:25 PM.

Tuesday, February 28, 2006. S ‘It’s been emotional’. Post got me thinking. It seems like ages since my obsession with that movie. Started. I can still remember, some time in 1998 I think it was, when a friend of mine, Leon, came raving about this movie that another friend, had just given him after a trip to England. He’s exaggerating. As usual I thought. But he made me sit through it there and then. He was. So not two seconds after Tom vanishes from the screen he asks me what I thought. It felt like some...
