I love Muldoon from the curve to the swerve in East Anchorage, Alaska. Our part of town was mostly spruce forest when Anchorage pioneer homesteader Arnold L. Muldoon backpacked building materials along a muddy trail that became Muldoon Road. He put up a log cabin in the winter of 1940-1941. The last piece of his homestead is now a forested park with a fitness course across Northern Lights Boulevard from Carr's-Muldoon. And Northeast Community Council.

We stayed at her place until the rain and snow stopped before we went up on the mountain. She's always fixin' us something good to eat. Linda has the perfect place for us and the mules. Thank goodness for family! Caught a picture of a beautiful Trumpter Swan on the river on the drive in. Were fogged in with rain and wind most of the day.
