By Ariana K. MacPherson. Feb 9, 2012. We left the city in an early morning haze of pollution and sunrise, making our way through flat green valleys and into Western Ghat mountains. We are on our way to the smaller city of Pune about three hours north of Mumbai. With a population of roughly 3 million, Pune is the second biggest city in Maharashtra state after Mumbai (population ±16 million). How could it not be accounted for? By Ariana K. MacPherson. Jan 30, 2008. My ancestors are creeping up around me. In my dreams they haunt me, taunting me with shrill songs and pregnant silences. Yiayia stands, shrunken and small, at the front of a large hall. She is singing in soft crackling English I know she never knew. Baba sits at the back, Mommy Iris by his side. She is alert and young and he shrivels beside her. His eyes are blank and distant, his mouth hanging open with too many years of speaking. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Creating a beautiful home and family with my fabulous groom and new baby daughter as we enjoy a simple yet abundant life together. Monday, December 5, 2011. Daddy Caught a Good One! I'm not sure how (or why) Osei thought to wrap and carry Palesa like this, but it certainly stopped her fussing, despite her expression here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
