interknitter: Something old and something new, both made by me, and both of them blue
http://interknitter.blogspot.com/2009/01/something-old-and-something-new-both.html
Much of what I know I learned from the internet. Saturday, 24 January 2009. Something old and something new, both made by me, and both of them blue. Well, it's nearly February and I haven't even wished you a happy new year! Or Christmas, for that matter. Let's make up for that, shall we? I wound down / ground to a halt towards the end of last term, and the closest I came to knitting was practising sutures on a little sponge. It was my parents' Christmas present to us (thanks padres! I know, poor socks...
interknitter: Yves Klein Blue scarf
http://interknitter.blogspot.com/2009/02/international-klein-blue-scarf.html
Much of what I know I learned from the internet. Tuesday, 17 February 2009. Yves Klein Blue scarf. To get involved in these antics, which complicates matters. We're just about to finish our surgical rotation, and, as with many so things, I've only started to realise what I'm going to miss, and what I ought to have been doing with the last ten weeks of my time, as the ground slips away beneath my feet. Anyway, cheer up, P. Let's talk about some knitting. 55 mm Addi bamboo. This would have been a very quic...
interknitter: Garter stitch
http://interknitter.blogspot.com/2009/05/garter-stitch.html
Much of what I know I learned from the internet. Monday, 25 May 2009. On big fat needles with thick squishy yarn. Just the thing for restoring flagging spirits and an errant knitting mojo. It is a bank holiday and boilingly hot here, and I'm indoors revising (and photographing last night's knitting). My boyfriend has gone to the Cheese Rolling. I hope you are enjoying today, whatever you're up to. Mm, squishy garter. nice color too. what will it grow to be? May 26, 2009 2:06 pm. Aditya Tours And Travels.
interknitter: Gone bloggin'
http://interknitter.blogspot.com/2009/11/gone-bloggin.html
Much of what I know I learned from the internet. Monday, 16 November 2009. The winds of change have been sweeping through the knitting blogverse recently, rattling windows, flapping washing on the line, blowing dust from corners and sweeping the debris from nooks and crannies long untouched and uncared for. Writers of blogs I’ve loved have either shut. Entirely, or stopped posting very. As for me, I’ve barely knit a stitch for the past year, let alone written about it. Olive Tree Guitar Ensemble.
interknitter: February socks
http://interknitter.blogspot.com/2008/03/february-socks.html
Much of what I know I learned from the internet. Thursday, 27 March 2008. Because February is all about perseverance. Conwy socks, from Knitting on the Road. Round heel, slip-stitch heel flap. In Dusk, a present from Laura. Brittany birch 2.75 mm dpns, from I Knit London. 16 st x 24 r = 5 cm in stocking stitch. I am pleased to have these out of the Basket and on my feet. Thank you, Laura, for the wherewithal to make a pair of cosseting socks. It is much appreciated, and this week, needed indeed.

Wednesday, September 05, 2007. I've finished/started a bunch of things and just don't seem to have the energy to blog about them. I've even finished some things I never told you about. Well, you'll just have to wait a little longer, because I've got the end of summer blahs. Hope your move goes well, and your spirits pick up. I'll be here waiting to see your wonderful FO's! Good luck with the move! Thought I should return the favor and leave you a comment! Hey, how did you find me anyway?
Sticks and Thread: Learning new things
http://sticksandthread.blogspot.com/2007/08/hooks-and-wire.html
Friday, August 03, 2007. The summer of Rachel. I made some jewelry! Then it was time for some semi-instant gratification:. I taught myself crochet! Well, Debbie Stoller and interweave crochet taught me. I had absolutely no interest in crossing over to the other side of fiber arts until I saw this. The Babette Blanket. And it was like the clouds had parted and angel voices were singing from the heavens. I had to have it. (If you're still not convinced, check out these bad boys. I think I sounded a little ...
Sticks and Thread: A series of procrastinations
http://sticksandthread.blogspot.com/2007/05/series-of-procrastinations.html
Thursday, May 03, 2007. A series of procrastinations. Not even excitement about the VK cabled turtleneck potentially being far and away the best sweater I've ever made for myself can induce me to finish the seaming. What is it with seaming? Why is it so horrible? And why did just half of it take me the better part of a Saturday to do? The other good news is that procrastinating the seaming induced me to finish these:. Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Forest, less than 2 skeins. I hate seaming too....

Wednesday, November 09, 2005. The fall @ islington academy. The first support band made me want to curl up into a little ball and die on their behalf. resist. Was one half of the reason i bought the ticket. hair like a broomstick and a body to match, 20 rothman’s drawl and old man’s sense of humour. bit grubby. nobody’s fool. i was very irritated that he didn’t receive the clear reverence he deserved. i don’t really understand how someone can claim to be into the fall. And yet spend an entire jcc. This f...

Tuesday, November 21, 2006. An open letter to robert altman. Thank you for introducing me to raymond carver, and for your beautiful bittersweet pictures. I could be sad that there will be no more films, but the ones you made are some of the greatest around. Posted by raspberry beret @ 10:56:00 PM. Thursday, November 09, 2006. No song of the week. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Young lady, do you have any idea what time it is? I've been away so long I couldn't remember how to sign in to my blogger account. Funny, because I've certainly been reading tons of blogs, but apparently I haven't left any comments in the last five months either. I miss you, blog. I miss you, blog readers, if any of you are still out there! So this re-entry will be photoless. I've been doing so much writing. To come" is abbreviated TK (I guess for "to kome"? Sunday, March 30, 2008. I hinted at the question to which the answer is, about 15 inches. This is a question that has been haunting me for a while:. How much basic sock can you get out of your average amount of sock yarn? So, I set out to knit a pair of toe-up stockinette socks with 1 skein each of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock, and I knit until I couldna knit nae more (that's my fake scottish for ya). Pattern: Basically following Ann Budd's On your Toes socks from IK Summer 2007. Needles: US 1.5 DPNs.

Monday, September 26, 2005. I am a rubbish friend. I honestly don’t get it. the man told me i was lying when i said i hadn’t meant to and tried to make me pay an astronomical penalty fair. the really annoying thing was, i left work early to try and get home so i could go out to my friend’s birthday do, but this held me up something chronic and minifig. Sorry James - happy birthday. Posted by raspberry beret @ 8:39:00 PM. Saturday, September 24, 2005. A woman's right to shoes. Like little sculptural works...

Knitting my way around the world. Sunday, March 26, 2017. Planning Our Next Trip. Spring break is coming soon and we're planning a trip to the Greek island of Corfu, and can't wait to hang out on the beach, read and knit. I watched The Durrells. Television series last year, and really fell in love with the story. Started reading Gerald Durrell's The Corfu Trilogy. On which I believe the series was based. Can't wait to see the island and some of the places mentioned, although I'm sure much as changed.
