I have returned from a day trip to Paulatuk (pop.300) which is a remote community in the Beaufort Delta. Watch for many more pictures, coming soon! I have reached my limit for pictures on Blogger afyer 300 posts, so I will have to switch, perhaps creating a "boot grille 2"). Saturday, May 26, 2007. Thank you for flying Aklak air! Wonder if I booked your flight. George Lessard, The MediaMentor. My brother Jean...

Lie face down, with arms outstretched and legs together. Then, get three friends to carry you forwards. (You are not allowed to touch the floor, so you need strong arms and shoulders.). Friday, March 30, 2007. It's a 114km drive from Tsiigehtchic to Inuvik Regional Hospital, so I am guessing something serious was happening here. There are ...

It's an interesting fact that Inuinnaqtun can be written as either pictograms or phonetic letters. Either way, I am completely unable to read it. (Although I did find a dictionary.). Tuesday, January 30, 2007. This is actually kind of impressive. I wasn't kidding when I said solar lamps boost plants. Look at this potato after just two weeks! The sun has returned.

I was walking around at 2am (24/hour sunlight will do that to you) and took this picture. It's not very interesting per se. But it's prety cool to see the sky at that hour. You'd think it was 2pm. Phil Morin's views from Inuvik - - see the full blog at Inuvikphotos.ca. Thursday, May 24, 2007. Spring is here, which means the snow is melting! Unfortunately, it appears to be forming giant puddles. It's a good thing homes are on stilts., which prevent the permafrost from melting during the winter. Thursday, May 24, 2007. I used to live on Natala, further down the street. Great neigbourhood! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Visitors since March 21, 2007 (Unique IPs per 3 hours).

http://asouthafrican.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
A South African in Yellowknife. Saturday, March 31, 2007. The people I fly with. We got together for a picture of all the people who are Dash 7 crew. There's only one flight attendant missing, and a Dash rampie is on vacation, everyone else made it. We also invited the Maintenance guys, but they picked that time to do engine runs, so we couldn't wait anymore. Posted by Nanook at 21:53. Friday, March 30, 2007. An article about Yellowknife. Friday, September 29, 2006. Here are a couple of pictures from the sim in Seattle. I did all of my training in the right seat as I am an FO and not a Captain, however I did get to try a bit from the left seat while my Capt was doing his right seat conversion training. It was interesting using the tiller to steer on the ground instead of the rudder pedals. Posted by Quodlibet at 09:32. Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Here Comes The Bride. Is also going in mid October to live so they should have lots of fun!

Wednesday, May 24, 2006. What Muppet Personality are you? You Are Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. You take the title "mad scientist" to the extreme -with very scary things coming out of your lab.And you've invented some pretty cool things, from a banana sharpener to a robot politician. But while you're busy turning gold into cottage cheese, you need to watch out for poor little Beaker! Thursday, November 30, 2006. On Tuesday I did a trip from Calgary to High River to Fort St. John to Dawson Creek and then to Smithers where we overnighted. I had hoped it would be nice the next day so that I could get some good pictures of the mountains, but it only cleared up as we neared Calgary on the return. I did get a couple of good ones which I will post. Posted by Quodlibet at 21:46. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Well, they don't suck until they decide to break! Posted by Quodlibet at 19:56.

The Backpacker's Guide to Eurasia. Keeping Track of Nick Gignac. Sunday, April 29, 2007. I keep telling myself I'll be safe from the touts in Greece, but I know I'm just being delusional. As for photos, I've yet to find a reliable USB port to download my pics, so you'll just have to use your imaginations for the time being. Thursday, April 26, 2007. Ok, so I've been in Varanasi for a few days now: time to update the troops. Oh, and Elise was assaulted by a monkey, but I'll let her tell you all about it.

Sunday, May 27, 2007. Based out of Nafplion, we've gone on day trips to Epidavros and Mycenae. The Backpacker's Guide to Eurasia. Keeping Track of Nick Gignac. Friday, March 30, 2007. Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. We got to Chiang Mai yesterday. And damn if it isn't getting hotter and hotter. Today is 33 degrees with a humidity factor of 47%, but the temperature is climbing steadily over the next few days to 36, and 38 by the end of the week. The sun is also very strong here despite the haze. Since this WAS our first time, and it DID seem a little "icky". The taste really isn't that bad. They...And t...

A South African in Yellowknife. Wednesday, November 22, 2006. Happy birthday to me. Woke up this morning to -27. Okay, so maybe Mike got up to that and I stayed in bed, I just happened to get today off. Didn't do too much during the day at all, but Mike took me for a very nice dinner at Diamante, where he had flowers waiting on the table. The waitress wrote Happy Anniversary on the bill! Here's the lovely song that I got from Elisabeth, my niece who just turned seven. Dear noelene and mikle. I can watch ...
