The severed parts of the carcass floated in the bowl before me. I ran my fingers through the guts. I had to make sure there was no single dirt or blood clot on them. Three huge pots were on three separate stacks of burning firewoods, each of them with different contents. I was surrounded by abandoned trays of chopped onions, vegetables, unwrapped seasoning cubes.
