Monday, June 27, 2005. Here is my heart rate data - you can see it is quite jagged from various rest breaks I took. Overall I think I kept it near the aerobic zone. It looks like my loop splits were approximately:. Swim - 43 mins/45 mins. Bike - 4 hours/4 hours 20 mins. Run - 2 hours 45 mins/3 hour 15 mins. Not exactly the ideal even or negative split! Friday, June 24, 2005. I swam for 15 or 20 minutes in Lake Coeur D'Alene, just a quick dip to check out the water temperature. Dozens of other athletes were there on a grassy hill, checking bags in or out of the Gatorade tent, changing in or out of wetsuits. I saw that two buoys were out in the water, along with several kayakers on patrol. The water was cool but not bad at all, I would guess low 60's. The lake was clear - I could see the bottom in 15 or 20 feet of water. Nice! Checking out the bike course.

Friday, September 24, 2004. Power Trail Run (Base). T2 and I are planning to do it "right" by building base before entering the training plan. This means slow and easy miles, especially for running. We both have heart rate monitors and will be keeping runs in the aerobic zone. Anyway, today's aerobic run on the power trail was 3.9 miles in 0:45:54. That works out to an 11:46 min/mile. Saturday, October 09, 2004. Starting back up. just a little bit. I ran with the Eastside runners this morning, 5 easy miles near Phantom Lake in Bellevue. It took me about 58 minutes, as the course included two big hills to climb. This is a nice run as it is partially on gravel trails. You can see my heartrate spike during the two hills! Bike stuff I still need to take care of:. Get my training/rain bike back from Pace Cycles. He does good work, but damn he's slow. Get a bike fitting for my Cervelo.
