It's all about . Samstag, 26. Dezember 2009. It´s all about the mangoes…. Unsere Jobsuche war erfolgreich. Ein Telefonat genügte und wir hatten unseren „Traum“-Job…. MANGO PACKING. Am 112.2009 fuhren wir dann ins idyllische Mutchilba, welches 120 km westlich von Cairns liegt. Das Highlight ist ein Roadhouse mit Tankzapfsäule und Mini-Postoffice. Ansonsten gibt es hier nichts außer jeder Menge Kängurus und Braunschlangen. Insgesamt waren wir 6 deutsche Packer auf der Mangofarm. Sonnenuntergang auf der Farm.

Es gibt wohl nicht viele Verrückte die sich spontan zu einem 4000km Trip quer durch das endlose Nichts des australischen Outbacks entschließen und das auch noch mit einem 25 Jahre alten Auto namens "Schrotti" ohne Klimaanlage. Mit Reservekanister und geschätzen 20 Liter Trinkwasser eroberten wir das Outback und schwitzten bis zum Umfallen. Der erste Stop führte in die Mienenstadt Cooper Pedy ca. 800km von Adelaide. It's all about . Mittwoch, 21. April 2010. It's all about the Northland and Auckland. Die letzen Tage meines Aufenthaltes ging es für mich in den Norden Neuseelands. Erster Stop war dabei die Bay of Islands (Pahia). Aus Zeitnot verbrachte ich hier nur 2 Nächte. In der Zeit spielte das Wetter nicht mit und ich vergnügte mich auschließlich mit einigen Spaziergängen. Mein vorletzter Stop auf meiner Neuseeland-Reise führte mich nach Whangarei. It's all about . Sonntag, 23. Mai 2010. It's all about the Aloha State - Maui. Mit Maui kam dann auch das gute Wetter. Jedoch auf der Nordseite Maui, wo wir in Wailuku nächtigten, kam die Sonne nur eher selten raus. Dafür gabs auf der Südseite Maui's Strände und Sonne pur. Stefan und ich haben im Banana Bungalow übernachtet. Die Herberge war mehr Drogenumschlagsplatz als Hostel. Aber was solls. Waren wir halt die "Außenseiter". Stefan als Wellenbrecher (eine Schlacht die er auf Hawaii nicht gewinnen kann).
