Yesterday I went to the funeral and Katie told her mom's story and I thought, do I know my mom's story? I'm not so sure. Let's get to know our moms. Monday, June 29, 2015. Eila's appointment today went relatively quickly, only one drug and she had no issues last week to report. Dr. Tilford brought us images from Eila's MRI so that we could see. It's strange to look at these light and dark blobs and know that this is what we're fighting. Hoping to have surgery scheduled soon so that we can be back to just one white blob soon. Friday, July 31, 2015. Today she got to see the room she'll be in for radiation and had a CT scan to give the doctors images they'll use to line up the "lasers". Hopefully she'll be able to lie still enough during treatments so that she won't have to be sedated; they say it doesn't take long but she has to be perfectly still. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Waiting is so hard. We feel like the walls around us are teetering and could collapse at any minute. We struggle with trying to lose ourselves keeping busy at work versus losing ourselves in sadness of a third tumor. Every family with a sick child must go through this and it is completely unfair. Monday, June 28, 2010. Still in hospital. Attitude fluctuating. Drugs help, but make me sleepy. I miss my life. Saturday, June 26, 2010. Lots of IV antibiotics, with the hope that it will heal naturally, sort of like a scab. It can happen. It just goes real slow. My fever is down. I still have a little pain and some other problems (that I will not get into).
