Behind The Mic: February 2011
http://winklerflyershockey.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 9, 2011. AND THEY COME DOWN THE STRETCH. If you look back at the last few seasons anyway we would be talking about the Flyers sitting comfortably in third or fourth place at this time of year and which away arena they would be starting the playoffs in. But now we are talking about our Orange and Black having a real shot at top spot and home ice advantage throughout the playoffs. Well let us go a little deeper into who has the best shot at finishing the 2010-11 regular season on top.

Behind The Mic: March 2010
http://winklerflyershockey.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 15, 2010. THE UPS AND DOWNS OF PLAYOFF HOCKEY. One night later, along came game two. And what a start it was. After scoring a minute in and making it 2-0 halfway through the first it made a lot of people (including myself) breathe a sigh of relief. But then the train seemed to fall off the tracks. The Saints adjusted to get better and the Flyers weren’t able to keep up. I know things are looking a bad right now but it only takes a couple more wins and it’s a different ball game. Missed pena...

Behind The Mic: March 2011
http://winklerflyershockey.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 16, 2011. HERE WE GO AGAIN. Well what a playoff series that was hey! However, the blue-line is not entirely healthy at the moment which does worry me slightly. Steve Sorensen and Justin Minoletti didn’t play a whole lot in round one and their status for round two is still up in the air. Having a healthy back end would make me a lot more at ease but what are you gonna do right? Well I wish it was. But this series i figure will be another beauty. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Behind The Mic: February 2010
http://winklerflyershockey.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. PLAYOFF TIME IS HERE. Here we go folks! The Playoffs are finally here and I, for one, am very excited. By now you all know that this is the fourth meeting in the last four seasons between these clubs in the first round of the Addison Division playoffs. The past three seasons the Flyers have played game one in Selkirk and the last two years they have won game one. The playoffs traditionally are a crap chute. The better team doesn’t always win. Sometimes things ha...But these f...

Steiner's Stall: REMEMBERING DONNA MOORE
http://craigstein.blogspot.com/2014/07/remembering-donna-moore.html
Saturday, July 19, 2014. Anyone in the local sports circles, or really any circles, around Yorkton in the last few decades, likely knew Donna Moore. Because she was in the lives of so many, the sad news that she passed away this week travelled fast, and caught us all off guard. Regrettably I can't make it to Monday's Memorial Service, so I thought I'd take a few minutes here to remember one of my truest friends in Yorkton. And talk about apple pie! Let's just say our conversations only got smoother from ...

Steiner's Stall: BOOK IT: THERE WILL BE A CROSSOVER
http://craigstein.blogspot.com/2014/09/book-it-there-will-be-crossover.html
Thursday, September 25, 2014. BOOK IT: THERE WILL BE A CROSSOVER. Call me Captain Obvious, but despite Week 13 in the CFL showing that the East Division indeed has a pulse, there's no way that three teams from that division are taking part in the playoffs. In addition to their weekly 45-ish minute banter session, they also do a separate one specifically for CFL Fantasy, and the www.fantaseh.ca site, which I've taken part in every year it's been out (and usually dominate :p). Hey, maybe the Lions and Bomb...

Steiner's Stall: SUNSERI, RIDERS FIND SOME LATE MAGIC
http://craigstein.blogspot.com/2014/09/sunseri-riders-find-some-late-magic.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2014. SUNSERI, RIDERS FIND SOME LATE MAGIC. In a dog-fight of a West Division, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, "basically," wrapped up a playoff spot with Sunday's nail-biting 35-32 overtime win over the Ottawa Redblacks. Yes, the Ottawa Redblacks, with a single win to their credit in franchise history. Took us to overtime. And probably should have won in regulation. I'm not sure. But winning breeds confidence. WESTON'S CATCH AND RUN. Should be a wild finish…. 2011-12 GX94 Broadcas...

Steiner's Stall: NEW ARRIVAL!
http://craigstein.blogspot.com/2013/02/new-arrival.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2013. So, I thought I'd click my hit counter and see if anyone's still stopping by. and, to my surprise, anywhere from 50-100 of you still are each day. I assume by accident? Just figured I'd toss on a pic of my TWO little ones. My wife and I, and Bailey welcomed our son, Kaiden John Stein on Tuesday, February 12th. He was 6 lbs, 12 oz, 20 inches long. His big sister will turn three in May, and she absolutely adores him. Anyway, thought I'd check in! What a coincidence, I have bee...
