I must be getting older as they seem to fly by a bit quicker every year. It has been a wonderful year and here are some of the great things that happened:. Moved in with my loving g/f. Started my own web design business (holler if you need web help). Started daily meditation / yoga. Recommitted to the Eat to Live lifestyle. Started the path to self-love.

Greens, Beans, and Healthy Things. December 31, 2009 by Sid. 30 min of Meditation / Yoga (1 hour with meditation group). Grilled broccoli, potatoes, and onions with salsa and guacamole. Vegan Soy Mocha (this made me very sleepy and was WAY TOO sweet😦. I can’t even believe it. My addict side totally took over and it’s like my rational self was gone. Smoothie (carrots, water, orange, banana, and pineapple). Candied Pecans made with honey and date sugar (these are definitely not good for me, but they were yummy). Today was pretty good! Good-bye Bikram Yoga, Hello Green Smoothies! I tried Bikram Yoga in 2009 and got a lot of benefit out of this practice; however, I don't have the time for it right now. My latest health craze is reading about (and trying) green smoothies - leafy greens and fruits (and perhaps some veggies) all blended together for an energy boosting meal in a drink. The consistency is like mashed potatoes. 1 head of cauliflower. 1/2 cup raw cashews. 1 tbsp Mrs. Dash. Steam cauliflower, onion, and garlic in one pot and then steam kale separately until done. It can consist of any or all of the ingredients listed below and I usually just throw together whatever is in the fridge:. Green, Red, and or Orange Bell Pepper. 1/2 oz of sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, and or pepitas. 1-2 tbsp of raisins. Clementine, Orange, Raspberries, blueberries, and or banana. Tofu Stew (zucchini, tofu, tomatoes, mushrooms). Left over candied pecans. Food today was good and my body feels good. I have horrible PMS though.
