Once in a Lifetime Anniversary. So Monday was our thirtieth anniversary – and pretty much the motivation behind this whole trip. We have stayed in wonderful places, eaten wonderful things, drank so much wine it’s ridiculous, and met some amazingly great people. Capri (or KAH-pree for the initiated). Today we boarded a little boat and headed for the island of Capri – land of the rich and famous, the rich and beautiful, and the rest of us. We opted for the smaller boat with only 12 passengers, which not only took us around the whole island, but also stopped so anyone who wanted to could jump into the Med! This rock formation is right off the coast of Capri and that – apparently – is the “tunnel of love”. We drove right through it and h...Makes Positano seem quiet.

Just wandering around the village today, enjoying the history and the amazing details everywhere. This second photo is where they kept the pigs – it is now the reception area for the hotel. I forgot to mention that this area is near L’Aquila, where there was terrible damage from an earthquake in 2011. This area also experienced damage and for now, there are supportive structures assembled, mostly for preventative measures. Looks like a comfy bed! The valley on the far side of the village. I'm currently rewriting JanAndDover using Visual Studio. The web site will utilize the MVC. Design pattern. i will be using the Bootstrap. UI framework to implement the presentation. the site implemented using a mobile first design pattern with progressive enhancement to scale up to your browser's capabilities.
