They had left a message on Allen's phone that they had spent the night in Kalispell and Hayne's bike was running well so they would push on today. (There are more direct routes home on the interstate but none of us like the interstate much so we stick to the back roads) It's a pretty valley that winds along a river and was a great ride. Jeff Coker's Motorcycle Adventures. Thursday, May 31, 2007. So why go to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, the northernmost point in America, on a motorcycle? The last 250 miles of the "road" to Prudhoe Bay has a reputation of quirky nastiness and we guess that we'll be riding about 4500 miles one way to get there. We also know that the weather up there and back will vary from occasionally good, to usually bad. So, if I need to go, why not just drive my truck? As for why a motorcycle?
