Lessons learnt from Lakeland 100. July 30, 2015. Run Tall, Walk Tall: June 2015
http://runtallwalktall.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Run Tall, Walk Tall. Over training is over rated, rest better so that you can train even more" - Nick Yster Bester. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. I entered a cycle race! True story. I entered a cycle race! The 94.7 cycle challenge is much like the Comrades marathon. You have to do it at least once. If you cycle. Anette has done it before and she's been keen to get me to do it with her. Since I'm cycling and still not able to run I figured this is a good time to get this done. Monday, June 8, 2015. It should be...

Run Tall, Walk Tall. Over training is over rated, rest better so that you can train even more" - Nick Yster Bester. Monday, June 8, 2015. I must have jinxed myself with my previous post after my test run last week. The next morning I was at the doctor with a different issue. In November 2013 I dropped a piece of glass into my foot. That gave me quite a bad cut. It healed just fine and all was well, but last weekend the scar started swelling a bit and by Monday evening I could see it was infected. OMG, th...

Chapters in Running: April 2014
http://chaptersinrunning.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 3 April 2014. Three strikes and out. A friend in the ultra running community told me this week "your ability to tackle the lows as well as the highs is the measure of your worth as a human being". This is good to remember when you are thrown into dealing with injury rather than achieving all of the running ambitions you've planned for the year. The good news of late is that the fibula stress fracture has healed up nicely. It behaved during a 15 m. Bumped into this colourful crew on Saturday.

I've been absent from running since last February, and am still injured (physio reckons it will take another 2-3 months of rehab). Since I can't run, or blog about running, here's a poem I've written about being injured and not running! Since I can't run,. I'll watch my boy learn how to walk. And clunks of grass.

My idea of God, on the week when Stephen Fry-ed it up. Neither of these men are fully aware. The first three at least get to eat. The first two are sated, despite being wrong. The third spends dinner time being anxious and doesn't enjoy his food. The fourth feels principled, but hungry. How language is killing God. These days atheis...
