The Inverness and Richmond Railway. Modelling a proto-lanced version of CN's Inverness Subdivision. In the late 1950's to early 1960's. Sunday, June 07, 2015. An afternoon on the Halton Sub. If you've been following along regularly, you'll know I don't just blog about model trains. I also blog about my odd railfan excursion, and things I'd like to photograph. This afternoon I'm headed up to Campbellville to see what I can catch of CP's traffic there. Fingers crossed I get lucky. View my complete profile.

The Inverness and Richmond Railway: Baggage car floors Part One

The Inverness and Richmond Railway. Modelling a proto-lanced version of CN's Inverness Subdivision. In the late 1950's to early 1960's. Saturday, April 04, 2015. Baggage car floors Part One. So if you remember back a while ago, I had ordered some wood flatcar decks for my Microtrains 50' flat cars - that turned out to be Lifelike sized decks? Well I kept them around because I figured I would eventually find a use for them somewhere, and today I had a fantastic little idea. Baggage car flooring. The Inver...

The Inverness and Richmond Railway. Modelling a proto-lanced version of CN's Inverness Subdivision. In the late 1950's to early 1960's. Thursday, May 01, 2014. New youtube video posted. I posted a new youtube video this morning. Just barely caught this CN local going through Burlington Station @ 15:15 Apr 30. I think this is CN #556, which is a transfer from Aldershot to Oakville - with autoracks for Ford, and tanks for Petro-Canada in Clarkson. The Inverness and Richmond Railway Company. The Inverness and Richmond Railway. Modelling a proto-lanced version of CN's Inverness Subdivision. In the late 1950's to early 1960's. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Improving my flatcar fleet with wood 2.0. If you remember my last post, I had ordered some laser cut replacement wood decking for my five MTL flatcars - and ordered the wrong ones. I ordered parts for Atlas decks by mistake. I also said I had ordered the correct replacements from RSLaser Kits, and they arrived. I have one more yet to do, but it's...

The Inverness and Richmond Railway. Modelling a proto-lanced version of CN's Inverness Subdivision. In the late 1950's to early 1960's. Friday, April 12, 2013. Something A Little Different. I haven't had much time to work on Port Hood since my last post, but all the track is pretty much ballasted. So since I don't really have much to share, I thought I'd post a few pictures today. A dozen empty hoppers sit in the storage tracks at Port hood. The Co-Op elevator is in the background. Finally, some green.

The Inverness and Richmond Railway: Is your modelling season over?

The Inverness and Richmond Railway. Modelling a proto-lanced version of CN's Inverness Subdivision. In the late 1950's to early 1960's. Monday, April 14, 2014. Is your modelling season over? If you're a regular reader of model railroad blogs and/or message boards; you'll know that with springs' arrival often comes a modelling hiatus. As the urge to get outside and out of the basement pushes railroading to the back burner, most of us don't want to be inside updating blogs or weathering freight cars. Summe...
