Sunday, August 05, 2007. Yesterday we went to a BBQ at my sister's house. All in all, it was a great day - met lots of cool people and enjoyed the view on the lake, and Mike got to play his beloved volleyball. Very flattering initially, but then the scary lady began a thorough examination of my dog. We told her we suspected Sophie had some bichon in her, but she would have none of it. She then proceeded to simultaneously praise and criticize her features for the next ten minutes. Look at these ears!

Sunday, February 26, 2006. Homestudy Report, Where Art Thou? Our homestudy report should be approved any day now. The social worker was here on her final visit 3 weeks ago. We’re getting a little antsy! By now our fingerprints should be processed, so really there is nothing else to do but wait for the agency to send the report to immigration. SO close. Tuesday, May 08, 2007. As we held him, I glossed over a few favorite memories of life with Sebastian. The first morning after I took him and his sister Sable home with me, he determinedly roused me at 5AM by pushing his tiny paw across my cheek over and over again. I woke up to the tiniest kitten face and fell in love immediately. From there, Sebastian became my mom's true baby and I'm sure that she could take over with many more funny, sweet memories.
