A Libertine's Thoughts: Musical Tastes of a Preschooler
http://libertinethought.blogspot.com/2010/10/musical-tastes-of-preschooler.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. Musical Tastes of a Preschooler. I’ve liked music since my earliest years, as music of all kinds was ever-present in my home as long as I can remember. And even from my preschool years, I expressed my preferences of music I liked best. Below are videos of the two songs. These are the two songs that made me want to take up the trumpet. A Libertine's Thoughts: If You Don't Have Anything Nice to Say...
http://libertinethought.blogspot.com/2010/12/if-you-dont-have-anything-nice-to-say.html
Tuesday, December 7, 2010. If You Don't Have Anything Nice to Say. A few minutes ago, I saw a breaking news bulletin on Yahoo saying that Elizabeth Edwards had died. This came just a day after announcing that doctors had advised her that there was nothing more they could do and that she’d decided to stop treatments. There is a time and a place for everything. A Libertine's Thoughts: Personality Type and Political Orientation

Friday, June 18, 2010. Personality Type and Political Orientation. I suppose it's a stereotype, but I don't associate conservatism with a people who have a strong sense of humor and an easy-going personality, If not apolitical, I would assume such a person would lean toward the liberal side. Monday, August 23, 2010. Some Thoughts on the Dr Laura Brouhaha. I've observed with interest the latest "brouhaha du jour", that of Dr. Laura Schlessinger resigning her radio show over her repeated use of the "n-word" during the course of a single call. Get is that others have been exercising. Rights to free speech as well by objecting to what she said. Monitoring the Neal Boortz show the other day, he talked about this incident and it both surprised and amused me that he referred to her as a "vile woman...

A Libertine's Thoughts: Phenomenal Trumpet Solo
http://libertinethought.blogspot.com/2010/12/phenomenal-trumpet-solo.html
Monday, December 13, 2010. This is Maynard Ferguson, recorded some time in the 1960s. Ferguson, who died in 2006, was best known for his incredible range with the trumpet, easily able to hit notes more properly in the range of a piccolo. As a teenager playing trumpet in the high school band in the mid-70s, this man was my trumpet playing role model. Enjoy. He played at my HS in Montana back in the early 80s. A Libertine's Thoughts: Telltale Smarminess
http://libertinethought.blogspot.com/2010/04/telltale-smarminess.html
Saturday, April 24, 2010. I spend a lot of time in my car so I hear quite a bit of radio advertising. One annoying commercial is for Andy Willoughby's 3 Step Plan for work at home businesses. Every commercial starts off with him saying, "How in the world are you, anyway? In a smarmy tone of voice that oozes fake sincerity, akin to that of the stereotypical used car salesman. I have news for them. God doesn't like smarmy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Libertine: On the Prowl.

MaryLou's time2cre8: time2cre8 ... in 2014
http://time2cre8.blogspot.com/2014/01/time2cre8-in-2014.html
Beading PATTERNS (Personal Use). Monday, January 27, 2014. Time2cre8 . in 2014. Well, here it is. The new year. Not so new any more, as it's already almost the end of January. Did you make any resolutions? I think I resolved not to resolve. Last year I did pseudo-resolutions. Things I wanted to do, jotted down in a notebook. I got a few of them done, but not nearly as many as I wanted. Oh well. I had a fun year anyway. :-). My primary shop is time2cre8. Then I have a shop called time2split. Last but not ...

Ruminations of a Small Town Mountain Boy. Visions of The Road. Posted by Eric S. Links to this post. The adventure is still fresh. Life behind the wheel, has turned out even better than I remembered. Of course right now, the money is not all that great, but the mobility sure is. In the past week, I’ve managed to catch a sunset or sun rise in seven different states. A Libertine's Thoughts: Working Hard or Working Smart
http://libertinethought.blogspot.com/2010/06/working-hard-or-working-smart.html
Friday, June 11, 2010. Working Hard or Working Smart. Working hard" is a virtue that is often praised in our society. It is considered to be a great compliment to refer to someone as a hard worker. And while we are sometimes cautioned against overwork, most people would rather be thought of as workaholics, rather than slackers. For many, being thought of as lazy ranks right down there with being a liar or a thief. But what exactly do we mean by the phrase "working hard"? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
