Life with Type 1. There are many concerns to living with type 1 diabetes but as long as you follow the right steps it will get better. Insulin is a naturally occurring hormone created by the pancreas. People with Type 1 diabetes need insulin to be pumped or injected into their body or they will die. Type one diabetes can happen to both children and adults. it comes quickly and most people have to eject or pump insulin for the rest of their life.
