After reading Civil Peace by Chinua Achebe, I was struck by how the main character, Jonathan Iwegbu, viewed all his problems as blessings. Reading the story caused me to think about my own experiences. Fast forward it to the next term, I found myself getting second honors award and being in the top 3 of my class. How did I do it? Lines, Shapes, Patterns and Reflections. June 27, 2012. In Bruce Roger’s Reconstruction work, multiple levels of ‘reconstruction’ were seen. In this post, I will discuss the three levels of reconstruction seen in the story namely; physical reconstruction, reputation reconstruction and truth reconstruction. The story, albeit short, is a very deep story where one can find multiple meanings in the elements of it. In Reconstruction Work, the reconstruction done is evident and has a beautiful twist in it.
