Club of the Year. Results & Previous Winners. PAK’n SAVE Kapiti Sportsperson of the Year Awards. Prior to 2005 there was little formal recognition available to the many worthy Kapiti sportspeople in the district and so the Lions Club of Kapiti instituted the Sportsperson of the Year Awards (SPOY) to fill that gap. The first awards night was celebrated in 2006 and has been every year since then. This is a major event in the local calendar! To select the nominees for the Sport Wellington Regional award.
