When I was growing up,. My father named our house-spiders Sam, Herman, and Henry and told us their detailed family histories so that we, his five children, would not be inclined to stomp on them! There were many occasions when he stopped the car to give an assist to slow-moving toads and turtles trying to make their way across the highway. Like our spiders, they too had homes and families. We also had Vertigo, an old palomino parade horse, and Charlie, a Labrador retriever. I loved to draw. I studied art...

Thursday, September 26, 2013. It's All about the Dog. Two fun doggie projects recently, altho this first one for a sad occasion. When a dear friend's beloved black lab went to Dog Heaven too soon, I wanted her to have a stuffie she could hug. I made one of my Dilly Dogs. Using a really nice black wool suiting, a hot-washed wool scarf for the ears and hearts, and one of my fave vintage trims for his collar. When she first opened the gift she burst into tears! But now he's bringing cheer and comfort. Craft...

So I scanned them and assembled them into groups. So here you can see me working out the details of the book, from the Mousekins' house and decorations inside,. To their outfits,. Thursday, May 22, 2014. Yesterday I received the sweetest email from the mom of this adorable munchkin named Paisley, who loves my book of the same name:. I wanted to drop you and a note and let you know what one of your books means to my little girl. My three year old, Paisley, wants to read your book "Paisley" every night before bed. I even hear her in her room during the day reading it to her stuffed animals. Her favorite line is "the Earth shook.". Thank you for writing this special book! Illustrator...

Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Quick 'n Cute Coasters. I had some leftover Liberty print fused to wool felt from a project and realized I could turn it into 2 coasters. I found the right sized round template and traced it onto the felt, then cut around the circle with scalloped pinking shears. Some contrasting top-stitching around the edge makes the coasters complete. Fun little project to show off special prints :-). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Monday, July 8, 2013. Recently the very talented Kass, one of my Etsy shop. Customers, contacted me with these fab photos. Aren't these pillows totally fun and clever? Animal plushies she made using some of my patterns are cleverly tucked into the scenery. Then they come out to play! I especially love the fabric she chose for the "pond" - a dazzling blue/green moire. Wouldn't you be psyched to receive one of these pillows as a gift? I bet Rosina and William will have a lot of fun with them.
