DAY 2 ON THE WALL. Half Dome Adventure Day 1. June 23, 2010. After a good day’s rest yesterday and a wonderful surf ‘n’turf dinner we are both feeling less stiff and achey although finding new bits to hurt! Kaz finally felt well enough to crack open the champers by the spa pool and we celebrated our achievement! It’s finally sinking in that we have actually done what we set out to do and achieved our dream! Laquo; The morning after! The Grand Big Wall Adventures of Yosemite Ali and Calamity Kaz.

Dawn broke on the portaledge we’re not sure if it woke us or we had been waiting for it, but what a spectacular view it was. 1000 feet in the air with the whole of Yosemite valley spread out before us. Trying to figure out the best way to trap the rat, first I used peanut butter, which it didn’t really like, after four days, I put out some cooked sweet potato and caught him that night.
