And look at the size of our kiwis! Ps mom: these two are a bit of the beauty that is found in Queen's Park, Invercargill. This is part of the playground that we are working on. Where Toilets Flush the Other Way. An account of the experience of a life time in the southern hemisphere. Sunday, April 27, 2008. I have no soul. It's a proven fact. Why? Because I did not cry when I left New Zealand. I just kind of accepted that I was going on another adventure through life. The Invercargill airport was commical. There are only two desks for tickets/luggage. As for security, what secur. Yes, a new leg. He lost it in a biking accident. We got to Brisbane and my group (Me, Megan Bird, Ma...

Where Toilets Flush the Other Way. An account of the experience of a life time in the southern hemisphere. Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Message in a Bottle/Ratu. After we visited Manly Beach in Sydney on Friday, April 18th. We split up: Stephanie, Brooke, and Mary went back to Paddy's Market for more shopping while Erin, Megan, and I decided shopping was a bad idea because we were out of money. So the other three left us stranded; to our own to get lost. We decided to stroll around the harbor. Megan is e...

Where Toilets Flush the Other Way: Fiji: April 19-24

Where Toilets Flush the Other Way. An account of the experience of a life time in the southern hemisphere. Thursday, November 27, 2008. We arrived in Fiji around 8 o'clock S. We went to church Sunday. Fiji is just like I imagined it except with more litter. The road has old cars and palm trees and coconut trees overhang the edge. Everyone wears a sulu (a skirt like a lava lava) and tropical shirts. I thought only cheesy tourists in Hawaii wore those. I was wrong. They are very much worn by th...You look ...

Where Toilets Flush the Other Way: What a Wonderful World
http://wheretoiletsflushtheotherway.blogspot.com/2008/04/what-wonderful-world.html
Where Toilets Flush the Other Way. An account of the experience of a life time in the southern hemisphere. Thursday, April 10, 2008. What a Wonderful World. I see trees of green, red roses too". I have seen true beauty. Skies of blue, clouds of white". Brightness of day and the dark, sacred night". With a full moon. The silver shimmers on the wave as it curls but is up-staged by the crashing white foam. I see friends shaking hands saying, "How do you do? They're really saying, "I love you.". Marcie, I ha...

Where Toilets Flush the Other Way. An account of the experience of a life time in the southern hemisphere. Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Having pulled the purple curtains from the window I looked through the glass to a gloomy morning. Dull. Dark. Damp. Dim street lamps let off a caliginous. Hopefully you could see the scene I just described. As a writer, I strive to interpret. Fear, anxiety, worry, love, passion, grumpy, exhausted, enthralled. Language is a delicate art. I am not a dancer. I ...We all ha...

Where Toilets Flush the Other Way. An account of the experience of a life time in the southern hemisphere. Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Do you think you can walk yourself to death? And I ran to Kracker. Jacks yesterday and went to the watertower. And Queens Park and then back again. We went to the campus at 1PM to get our ID cards and then we went to a secondhand clothing store. We checked out some other stores around town and found a lolli. Shop with American foods like peanut butter M&Ms and A&W rootbeer.

Ashley's Life In a Nut Shell: February 2008
http://ashleyshaeandrew.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Ashley's Life In a Nut Shell. Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Probably the best out of the three was the bungee jumping. They have three jumps to choose from, so after contemplating the options I went with the Kawarau Bridge jump. It was the first bungee jump in the world, so it has quit a bit of history. The bungee jump is placed on a bridge over the Kawarau river, so you can choose to be dipped in the river on your jum. The second activity of choice was river surfing. This was a blast! So when we took of...

Wednesday, April 2, 2008. The men in my life. I know that BYU has a strict policy of no dating on study abroads, but that doesn't mean i have no men in my life. Have you calmed yourself? I know you are probably all jumping for joy at the thought of me having a man in my life further more two. Well i'm sorry to burst your bubble but Clarence and Elroy aren't human. sorry. I'll start with how i first met Clarence, for it was he that lead me to Elroy. Bivys and new zealand spainiards. To go alongside my sur...
