Lamb E Umptum: Back-to-school? Not for me!
http://lamb-e-umptum.blogspot.com/2015/08/back-to-school-not-for-me.html
Sunday, August 16, 2015. It has been a lovely, quiet week here on Parker Street. Green beans are in full harvest. I sprayed again for Japanese beetles. I am loving the fact that I have NOT had to attend all the before-school teacher orientation meetings that have been going on since Wednesday. I have been finishing up my quilts while watching movies with Elise - Wuthering Heights (boy, what a downer! And Jane Eyre (channeling the Bronte sisters). Here are my finished quilts! I know you are all gagging bu...

Lamb E Umptum: July 2015
http://lamb-e-umptum.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. This was supposed to be a short post because. Now that I am through with my travels, now that family visitors are gone, life gets kind of quiet and routine. And, I’m OK with that. Not that I didn’t love the other, mind you. The biggest “drama” of the week centered around Japanese Beetles. I thought that my early July spraying had rid my cherry trees, roses, beans, and grapevines of the horrible, voracious, pests. I guess I hadn’t counted on their offspring. Steven was my page turner.

Lamb E Umptum: January 2015
http://lamb-e-umptum.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2015. Steve has joined the 4G smart phone world with a Samsung S4. He kept saying he was fine with his old Sarah hand-me-down semi-smart-phone but I accidentally knocked it off the dresser as it was charging and it was never the same so a new phone became a necessity. I think he likes is new device…. It is so strange that a four-day work week can seem so LONG but that is how this week has been. It feels like it was ages ago that we had Monday off for Martin Luther King’s birthday.

Living the HI life: May 2009
http://beckiesabroad.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Living the HI life. Life updates from the South Pacific paradise. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Cry Me A River Part Two. I'm so happy to have gotten the response on the last post I did.I was hoping to, if only to get some books to add to my reading list. First, some responses to the comments left on the post:. Not at ALL at Harry Potter? Not even when Dumbledore died? Wow, you might be dead inside. Or just need to really find a book that opens up the tearducts for that particular medium. The episode of Buffy ...

Running at the Speed of Life: Twelve Days of Christmas Traditions: Five Pieces of Extra Tasty Crispy
http://slammysworld.blogspot.com/2012/12/twelve-days-of-christmas-traditions_18.html
Running at the Speed of Life. We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams." - Arthur O'Shaughnessy. Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Twelve Days of Christmas Traditions: Five Pieces of Extra Tasty Crispy. This is a short one today, but a crucial one. It's hard to say whether there is more of gravy than of grave about this tradition, since it does involve mashed potatoes and gravy, but it's also a dead tradition. Dad told us that was Santa Claus on the bucket. That, or Mom and Dad lied.

Running at the Speed of Life: Perhaps a Tin-Foil Hat Shall I Don...

Running at the Speed of Life. We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams." - Arthur O'Shaughnessy. Monday, May 16, 2011. Perhaps a Tin-Foil Hat Shall I Don. The world will end in approximately 5.34 days. Or thereabouts. Like this, only bigger. What if this is our Spark of Life (keep reading)? What if.still going.it was actually a mission to save mankind (or its lesser parts, “mank” and “ind”)? No, seriously.* What if NASA is working for a topper-than-top secret coalition of major ...

Running at the Speed of Life: All Sorrows Are Less With Bread
http://slammysworld.blogspot.com/2012/06/all-sorrows-are-less-with-bread.html
Running at the Speed of Life. We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams." - Arthur O'Shaughnessy. Monday, June 11, 2012. All Sorrows Are Less With Bread. Who doesn't like bread? Warm, delicious, slightly-crispy-on-the-outside-while-soft-on-the-inside, yeasty, slightly salty and buttery bread? Admit it, you're now wondering how to fix the bread craving that just awoke in your stomach. That picture probably didn't help. It's in this scenario that the Lord sends manna from heaven, to be...

Monkeys Made Off With My Brain....: A quick GRE question...
http://j-ammon.blogspot.com/2009/06/quick-gre-question.html
Wednesday, June 3, 2009. A quick GRE question. For those who have taken it, if I started studying this month, would 3 months be enough time to take the GRE at the end of August? Also, can you recommend a good test prep book? Tossed in here by J.Ammon. I havent taken it, but Ben did. I would think 3 months would be PLENTY of preparation (especially if you can study at work, too) :). 04 June, 2009 09:19. 04 June, 2009 15:48. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
