You can try substituting another sock yarn, such as Blue moon Sock Candy or Socks That Rock, or Regia, Koigu, etc. Gauge: (stockinette stitch): 10 cm (4”) = 30 s or (EDIT:) 40 rows (or 18-19 WPI). Needles: 2.5 mm or to get gauge. This pattern can be knitted on DP’s or circulars, but circulars are recommended because of the pattern. Cast on 66 s.

A scrap yarn was knitted over the two stitches between the cables. The stitches are picked up on the wrong side after the front band has been finished, plus two extra stitches in the edges. One round is knitted with the main colour yarn, and the live stitches are stitched down one after another on the wrong side of the front band.

Tiistaina, elokuuta 21, 2012. Tämä neule valmistui jo ajat sitten, elokuun alussa, mutta muita asioita tuli väliin ennen kuin ehdittiin kuvauspuuhiin. Juhlan kunniaksi kuvat otettiin kaukana kotireviiristä. Näyttääkö tutulta? Tuskin monelle, joten en arvuuttele enempää. Paikka on Vesijärven satama Lahdessa. Mutta pellava on pääasia. Kärvistelin koko kesän pellavakuumeessa, mutta en löytänyt sopivaa. Langasta piti sitä paitsi tulla ensin hame, mutta ei siitä sen enempää. Addin alumiinipyöröt 4,0 mm.

Maanantaina, huhtikuuta 09, 2012. Tuija kutoo yhä harmaita talvivermeitä, varsinkin sellaisia, joita on aikonut kutoa jo monta vuotta. Meni nyt tässä vaan vähän aikaa metsästäessä ne juuri oikeat kengät, joiden sisään mahtuu villasukka ilman kuoliota. Ja sattui sitten löytymään saapaslörtsykukiksi optimoitu ohjekin. Kiva! Mostly dyeing. I bought a bunch of silk (9lbs, to be exact) and learned how to dye silk. Which is actually very easy, provided you soak it for 12 hours in hot water with some soap before you apply the dye. This is from my most recent batch:. And I would highly recommend checking it out.
