Apple
http://knittingintranslation.com/life/apple
My “Dictionary”. Pitputei Srigah , ,ahemmm, , Knitting Chatters. The recent revelations about Apple manufacturer managing to break even the Chinese Work Law in the production sites of the new iPad made me wonder:. When discussing the work ethics of Apple or the fact they manufacture all our gadgets in China, how come nobody is willing to discuss their outrageous profit margin? Why the only solution people can talk about is jumping up the prices of their products? This entry was posted in Life.

My “Dictionary”. Pitputei Srigah , ,ahemmm, , Knitting Chatters. Are you a ripper like me? When you count the number of projects you knitted in a period, do you include all those you end up ripping? I mean, those you finished completely and decided you don’t like and rippety ripped it went? The Splashy was saved from the ripping party by Sam who declared she will wear it:. A very bad photo of Splashy in the snow. I really loved the yarn. I used in the skein, it had the most striking colors and combinatio...
My "Dictionary" - Knitting In Translation

My “Dictionary”. Pitputei Srigah , ,ahemmm, , Knitting Chatters. My “Dictionary”. Mess, disorder, confusion. One of my favorite Hebrew words, ask all my non Hebrew speaking family members, they all know this word and even some of its derivatives (balaganist = a messy person) and I must tell you both are extremely efficient creators of big balagans or balaganim as I will say it in Hebrew. Bon Appetit in Hebrew. Hebrew slang for OK already! Israeli nickname for a snail based on a children book. Pingback: W...

My “Dictionary”. Pitputei Srigah , ,ahemmm, , Knitting Chatters. A Sudden Urge to Knit Something Bright. Yesterday afternoon I had a sudden and quite a violent urge to knit something bright. The result:. I blame all those men socks I have been diligently knitting lately. I added three new meshushim. To my never ending Hundertwasser wannabe blanket. I wonder if I will ever manage to finish this mammoth project. This entry was posted in Knitting Adventures. Opal Hundertwasser sock yarn. July 9, 2012.
Chocolate Falls Arizona - Grand Falls of the Little Colorado River

My “Dictionary”. Pitputei Srigah , ,ahemmm, , Knitting Chatters. Chocolate Falls, Arizona. OK, so Joe’s special chocolate treat for my birthday was a trip to one of those secret beauties our Arizona is so rich with, aren’t we lucky? We found this one in The March 2008 Issue of Arizona Highways. We bought the magazine to find wildflowers and found a chocolate treasure instead. Joseph and I were so excited, we took more than 400 photos! Here are some of the photos:. How to get to the Grand Falls from Flags...

A year of cooking dangerously. Curve in the road. September 29th, 2008, by Francesca. As a start, I signed up for a few workshops at the San Francisco Baking Institute. And will be taking my first 5-day class in December. In the meantime, I'll practice as much as I can to make the most of my short stays up north. Sleeping Si Knits: September 2013
http://sleepingsiknits.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 30, 2013. It's officially fall. The sun is setting earlier and earlier, the air is a tad chillier and blankets are once again gracing the bed. I love this time of year, snuggling by the fireplace, drinking tea, knitting big things, like the squish (no picture yet). Picture courtesy of the fisherman. My little bubba's gramps cardigan officially has buttons on it! Next up, elbow patches! Wednesday, September 25, 2013. The Most Important Meal of the Day. I'm talking about breakfast. I used...

Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Man, this post is hard to write. The city that I love was attacked on Monday. Thankfully no one I know was injured. My heart goes out for the injured and for the families of the deceased. My home, my heart, always will be yours. Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Gamble about like a bunny. I signed up for my first 5K. http://sleepingsiknits.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 25, 2013. It's been one month since the start of the new year (and probably my last post - sorry). So far, I've been doing well writing down things I'm grateful for, some days it's just simple things like the kitties or hot cocoa with marshmallows, others, more important things. I joined a swap on Ravelry, I'll post what I sent my lovely spoilee after she received her package (it has some knit gifts in it.). I am tired, I just didn't want you to think I fell off the face of the earth.

Knitting, Cooking, Gardening, and Enjoying Life in Salt Lake City. The other side of the world →. The Grass is Greener. April 2, 2015. But not by much. My new cardigan is very, very green. It’s not a color I would normally wear, but I got the yarn for such a great deal, that I couldn’t resist. It’s Patons Classic Wool that I found it at the local Dollar Tree. For a dollar a skein, how could I pass it up? Just the right size, and sort of an olive green that went with the yarn without matching it too close...

Knitting, Cooking, Gardening, and Enjoying Life in Salt Lake City. Indoor Blooms →. March 23, 2015. I took my mother to a local dollar store recently. While we were going up and down the aisles, she spotted a bin of brown fun fur yarn, and jokingly said “Look! You can knit me a mink coat! 8221; A lady further down the aisle gave us a funny look. Did she think my mom was serious? I didn’t really expect to like the yarn all that much – I loved the old Patons Classic Wool, but had heard it wasn&...That̵...

Knitting Into Oblivion
Saturday, November 22, 2008. Well, it's been knitting failure all around. But Boy E has been using his winter hats (both store-bought and hand-knit) as "homes" for his toys. All three boys want me to make "homes" now. I better get creative! Oh, and I'm destashing. Monday, November 17, 2008. Flashback: Thursday, November 12. I am happily knitting away on Petra. I start over on US 11's. Then, on Saturday, after knitting about 10 rows in Mom's company, I have a feeling- a feeling! Got them to me in two days!

Knitting in Transit
A blog about knitting, riding public transportation, and whatever else strikes my fancy. Thursday, January 2, 2014. People say it's so great, but every time I've been there, the lines to get through security have been interminable). We had a nice experience at the Yotel in the Amsterdam airport (if you have a long layover there and are just sick and don't want to venture into town, this is a good alternative). We made it home. I also hope to post at some point about my marathon experience! Yes, I did it!
