Saturday, May 9, 2009. I am pretty sure that Rowan is color blind. I think Rowan has a red/green color deficiency. He can name all of the colors but cannot distinguish between red and green. I can't even imagine not being able to see the color red! One of my favorite colors. Anyone have any experience with this? What number do you see? What number do you see? What number do you see? What number do you see? Links to this post. This is me and I think my mom was pregnant with Katie. Links to this post.

Thursday, May 21, 2009. Rex's Dad died and we are off to Rhode Island. I am a bird-cage. A cage of bones. With a bird in it. That bird in the bony cage. Is death, building his nest. When nothing goes on. We can hear his wings clashing. After a good deal of laughter. If we stop suddenly. We can hear him cooing. Like a small bell. Death is a captive bird. Kept in my cage of bones. Wouldn't he like to fly away. Is it you who keep him. He will not leave until. He has eaten all of me. The source of blood.

Hoffman in a teapot. One inquiring mind, asking questions. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. I am not any kind of a whore. Photo from Break.com. Well, got your attention? I've noticed that here and there - now and then - to this one and that one, bloggers and/or commentors are saying things like: yeah, I'm a thrift shop whore, or a new shoe whore, or a blog whore, etc. Why? Why would seemingly intelligent women ever call themselves any kind of a whore? On purpose. Any ideas? Thursday, April 16, 2009. 18 this gu...

Hoffman in a teapot. One inquiring mind, asking questions. Friday, May 14, 2010. F* * you, you piece of S#@t! And screaming ugly words was an art for me. One day I had an Oprah light bulb moment: nobody really did anything differently. I had no control over other drivers. I was all in a rage and my blood pressure was up, and okay, maybe I got a few reactions, but mostly other people still drove like morons (never me, I am a good. What kind of a driver would you say/write that you are?

Hoffman in a teapot. One inquiring mind, asking questions. Monday, June 28, 2010. There's a blog you follow or just find yourself checking out from time to time, okay? Do you ever wonder what that blogger looks like? I am usually caught up in the art or the words and maybe, maybe sometimes, have an impression of the blogger, but don't actually stop to wonder if the person is a certain age, or has a Mohawk, or always dresses in pink, I just don't. It doesn't really matter to me, so why wonder? Photos of p...

http://joaniehoffman2.blogspot.com/2010/06/where-i-live-who-i-am.html

Hoffman in a teapot. One inquiring mind, asking questions. Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Where I live = who I am? I love living where I do, but I suspect I like as much (or maybe more) saying. So my question is: how much does where we live define us? Or does it at all? Let me know what you think, ok? June 3, 2010 at 4:26 PM. I think where we were brought up defines us the most! Hoffman in a teapot. One inquiring mind, asking questions. Friday, July 30, 2010. Eight things I don't like. 1) Setting a baby, especially one in a diaper only, on a food counter. Granted, it's a fast. Food counter, but still. 2) Drivers that pull out in front of me at the speed of light and then come to a stop. 3) Tomatoes (I give them to my turtles, they love a nice red tomato! 4) Being poor (anyone know a rich old man with a British accent who's available? 5) Cups of my iced tea spilling in my car.

http://joaniehoffman2.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Hoffman in a teapot. One inquiring mind, asking questions. Thursday, July 2, 2009. I was going to put a picture of real roadkilled animal, but thought that might be too gross and the blog would smell bad. So I just put up this warning sign instead. It's not a local (to me) sign, there are no camels crossing streets in North Beach, Maryland. The days when I might have. I saw a camel crossing the street are long gone. So the question, that's what I should write now. Second question, does this happen to you?

hoffman in a teapot: Next question:

http://joaniehoffman2.blogspot.com/2010/05/next-question.html

Hoffman in a teapot. One inquiring mind, asking questions. Thursday, May 6, 2010. What is sadder than a blog without comments? I'll have to come up with a question that you can't refuse. May 6, 2010 at 12:22 PM. Of course if one doesnt blog or visit blogs and comment, one gets many less comments. May 7, 2010 at 5:36 AM. This was a little story from someone who knows what an uncommented blog feels like. I tried this in Germany, my so called home country, and after one year I had 3 followers.

Hoffman in a teapot. One inquiring mind, asking questions. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. I have read that some people think that life is but a dream. My life consists of what I dream. My world. Consists of what I dream. Which would mean that I'm dreaming you are reading this. Or maybe not because very few people read this blog. (Maybe I should have a giveaway or better dreams? Would I dream I am sitting at work writing this or would I dream I am sitting by the ocean writing this? What if I am.

Fresh reviews of books and other texts. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (Benjamin Alire Saenz). June 28, 2014 4:00 am. I really enjoyed this novel, not only because it addresses LGBT issues. And two different families and their expression of their Mexican heritage. Saenz’s writing abilities went beyond my expectations of most authors. I also enjoyed his use of Ari and the language surrounding this point of view character. Discussing the role of the parents is somewhat atypical.

Sunday, January 18, 2009. Mom got a Cricut. I think she liked it because she almost started crying. She had mentioned wanting it a few years ago, but it was an unexpected gift this year. It is pretty cool - if only the accessories weren't so expensive. Btw, Cricut is for scrapbookers and crafty people (not me). It cuts out shapes and letters and such.
