Friday, May 20, 2011. Thankfully, my Dad (wiser than I) decided to join me in the mini-van plus 3-kid adventure to Texas! I like to say I could’ve made it just in more time BUT I’m thankful I didn’t have to find this out… Oh, and we didn’t tell Sarah he was coming. Again, thanks to Dad, we made it with only one stop due to weather (“To lower the blood pressure a little…”). The kids were amazing. Sarah ran out to the car to greet me only to find Dad hiding in the back seat! Its off to the zoo we go!

Friday, May 20, 2011. Last few weeks of winter. Mixed in with the snow we had a few nice days where we could get outside and blow off a little stink! One morning I woke up to find an extra dog in Max’s bed…. The kids loved building bridges and other random structures with marshmallows and pretzels. Friday, May 20, 2011. Bike, bridges, flowers and s’mores! Alexander is just about as tall as his sister and weighs near the same. It comes in handy when we need a spare t-shirt or pair of socks but when the bikes came out we quickly realized Alexander was due for a big bike like his sister. He couldn’t agree more! Friday, May 20, 2011. Who isn’t up for a challenge? With my niece turning one, I couldn’t resist the urge to load the three kids in the mini van and head to Texas for a party! I saw more than one “Are you crazy? 8221; looks from family and friends and I still can’t decide if my determination to make the trip to Texas came from the strong desire to see Sarah and Addyson (who I haven’t seen for nearly a year!
