Friday, August 29, 2008. Hey Now You're an All Star. Ok, I'm so lame! Both my boys made the All Star teams for baseball - IN JUNE! I'm just now getting to telling you all about it and I think my bragging rights are good for a few more months anyway, right? For any of you who don't have kids playing baseball let me just sum up All Stars in a few words - YOU LOSE YOUR SUMMER! We are in Maine in June for a soccer tournament. I get a phone call from a friend. It went something like this:. Yes AJ, I am.".

The Whitney Five: Not to be outdone by little brothers....
http://whitneyfive.blogspot.com/2009/10/not-to-be-outdone-by-little-brothers.html
Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Not to be outdone by little brothers. Okay, I'm constantly outdone by my little brothers with this blog. I just can't keep up. I did want to share some highlights of the past.um.8 months since I wrote last. After April break I have nothing to report but soccer and baseball. Jack played baseball for the Astros during the regular season and then made the 11/12 All Star Team. They won their division title, but lost states to Brattleboro in a hard fought tournament. The Whitney Five: Back in the saddle!
http://whitneyfive.blogspot.com/2012/05/back-in-saddle.html
Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Back in the saddle! I forgot I even had a blog. Can a few (exactly 12 over 4 years) even be considered a blog? I am pledging to get back in the saddle (to myself only, as who else cares) and write about the funny and cute and not so funny or cute things that happen here every day! I started my new job this week and am very excited about the possibilities! I will be working an amended schedule during the summer, and am so looking forward to being with the kids a bit more than usual!

The Whitney Five: May 2008
http://whitneyfive.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 9, 2008. I wondered where those cds went off to! Ok, I was mostly psyched with the tunes, with the exception of a few Chicago songs. What could I have been thinking when I added those? It was so fun listening to that music! Kenny Chesney (yup, I like country too) wrote a song called "I go back" about how one song can so instantly and so clearly take you back to a time and a place or to a person in your past. It's amazing how that works! Twist and Shout - the Beatles. New Years Day - U2. Danci...

The Whitney Five: Baby it's cold outside...
http://whitneyfive.blogspot.com/2009/01/baby-its-cold-outside.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Baby it's cold outside. Winter has hit hard here in the Northeast. I really try not to complain about the weather, I mean I live in Vermont - DUH! My neighbor/friend/workout buddy exclaimed to me one 5:30am day last week when it was below zero - "I'm freezing! I am so ready for winter to be over! I replied, "Beth, you need a winter hobby! So, this is not a complaint, just some comments for those of you not living this with us! No, of course not! Yup, you guessed it, frozen pipe...

The Whitney Five: January 2008
http://whitneyfive.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 28, 2008. The Non-writer in the family. Hmmm, this seems fair. Four kids in the family. Three boys, one girl. Three funny guys, all of whom can play guitar and at least two writers, and then one girl, who, well, can't write, dropped out of guitar lessons and basically is not creative at all. Crafty yes, give me a craft project and I'm in Heaven, but creative, sadly, no. The Vermont Whitney Five. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Non-writer in the family. The Vermont Whitney Five.
