Thursday, November 20, 2014. November is the beginning of winter in Lapland. Although, we get the first snow in October (sometimes even in September) it's a month of melting and freezing taking turns. Almost like autumn doesn't want to let go completely just yet and winter is trying to settle anyway. Friday, November 28, 2014. Morning Walk in Lapland. This morning when walking the dog the sky was coloured in different shades of purple and pink. Saturday, December 18, 2010. We have approx. four hours of daylight at this time of the year and while days are short and cold there is not much enthusiasm for outdoor photography at the moment. However, on a clear day like this one was the light truly is spectacular. The sun stays at the horizon for about two hours until it sets again.
