I sit here tonight, alone in my apartment, realizing that in 3 weeks I will have officially lived in Madison for a full year. What a year it's been, and what a lot I've learned. I lived with a host family in Segovia and studied at IE Universidad. I spent backpacking Europe with 2 friends. I climbed 249 stairs from the university to my house multiple times daily. Friday, November 28, 2014. Class Reunion of sorts. Absence makes the heart grow fonder they say. Bianca, Hale and Hazel were quite fond of each other while attending Cedar House playschool as 4 year olds. Monday they reunited one and a half years after going their seperate ways. Now that is a long time in child years. A quarter of their lives. I did the math. No wonder they were so delighted to see each other again. A wearied but wiser walk home.
