L(IF)e with a capital IF. Monday, July 23, 2012. It was a long few days of waiting - way longer I am sure for Duckie. I talked to him yesterday and he was extremely upbeat and positive. Ready to start the radiation and see what the Dr had to say today. I was so positive after hearing him and his positivity. I thought for sure he wouldn't have to go through more than just a few weeks of radiation. That he would be spared brain surgery. Then his email came in this morning. Why a second time in his life?

During our IF struggles I clung to what so many others were telling me – that God has a plan and if his plan includes a baby for Walleye and I it would be in his time and that timing would be perfect. I tried so hard to hold onto, to believe it and to be comforted by it. To be honest once we got pregnant I didn’t really think much more about it. We got pregnant a few months after Duckie found out about the cancer.
