I'm doing ab ripper when I get home and then a slow 8 miles with the club. It's going to be muggy but I can deal if I carry my fuel belt. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. 10 X 800s boom! Jo Ann, Pam, Tandy, Russ, and I got over to the Ravenwood track about 6:10pm and got down to business. 800 I felt great the entire time. I'm really proud of the 3:26 I did on the 10. 106 mi warm up-10:34. 10 X 800s (with 60 to 90 seconds rest in between each one). 3:52, 3:36, 3:41, 3:43, 3:42, 3:40, 3:43, 3:35, 3:51, 3:26. 106 mi cool down-10:07. Granted this wouldn't be such a huge deal if I were not trying to shave 2 or more minutes off my marathon PR. I tested the foot Saturday and it was too soon. I ran in new inserts powerstep pulse. So instead of the 8 miles of running my plan called for I went to the Rec Center and did 12 miles on the ellipical. No, it is not the same but better then nothing I guess. Monday, May 10, 2010. Friday was a rest day. I felt guilty taking it since I didn't get all my running in. But since I don't get another til next Friday, I figured I better enjoy it. Sunday I slept in and lazed around all morning. Then I did some more hoeing in the garden before I finally got my run done. The Plan called for 5 miles of hills. I am still in the building up miles stage so did 4 miles of flat. The Plan also called for some strength training but I never got around to that. 49:33 1st Place AG.

Amy had picked up her race packet on Friday so she just waited in the car while I ran in and got mine. They had the age group break downs hanging up. I checked out my age group. There were 16 35-39 females, the largest female age group. I think the next largest female age group had 7. Tom, a guy that works with Lana. 350 meter swim 7:42. Lana would have beat you this year.

We've been home since the 4th of December, and life has been fast and furious! So fast, I have caught myself telling Mike more than once, I need a few days away!
