Wednesday, February 16, 2011. It's been a while! Vinnie's don't drink and drive campaign. Ok ok ok. So I'm a slacker. Maybe it would help if I told you the reason I have not posted in so long is because we've been having just too much fun with Vinnie Joe. Last May Vinnie had his permanent VP shunt placed to reduce his hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain). So far we have only had one scare where I thought it was malfunctioning. You don't want to miss it! Never a dull moment :). Help me reach my goal!

Grandma Joan's was the 4th, Grandma Vicki's was the 8th, Joe's was the 10th, and Grandpa Don's is the 17th! Vinnie was very excited for this too as one way or another he is getting some cake :). Does it get any better than that? A month prior to his 2nd birthday Vinnie finally had his VP shunt surgery. If you recall about a year ago he went to his first neurologist appointment since his head was growing faster than normal. They discovered he had hydrocephalus. He is growing so fast! Sunday, April 25, 2010. Our March for Babies walk was canceled yesterday due to severe weather. The tornado sirens were going off and we were getting golf ball size hail. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Uncle Bryan and Aunt Frankie. Vinnie has been spoiled in the past weeks. His great Aunt Frankie came to visit the week before last from Michigan and his Uncle Bryan (my brother) stayed for a long weekend this past week from Nebraska. Just another WordPress.com site. Chapel Hill Children’s Hospital. March 10, 2011. The doctors decided to do a video EEG of Kaylee to watch for seizure activity. It was the longest 24 hours! But, finally we got the results and she had NO seizure activity! We were so relieved. Kaylee had been loaded on Phenobarbital (seizure medicine) every day so she was asleep from February 22-February 26. On Friday, February 26, the night nurse let me put a little milk on Kaylee’s tongue and she woke up! March 10, 2011.
