LittleBerry Knits: June 2009

http://littleberryknits.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 30 June 2009. Remember the shawls I've shown you (you actually haven't seen Renate's yet) well here is the reason, well partly. These two ladies start the season of decade birthdays. This is Monica and Renate (either side of the counter, Monica on the right) who were 60 on 29th June and are two good customers of my shop and regulars to SnB, so how else would you treat twins on their birthday. And flowers, I thought the florist had done a lovely job of making the flowers the same but different!

LittleBerry Knits: February 2009

http://littleberryknits.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Friday, 13 February 2009. Well progress on 'Leaf and Nupp. Shawl' got halted for a couple of days while I did this. yes another Swallowtail, I can't believe it but this is my 5 th. And still I don't find it boring, but it's something I know I can do quick and in most weights of yarn. This was for a lady who know who needed a black scarf quickly, so as you can see I've. Done the mini version with only 9 repeats of budding lace. Almost forgot it's done in Patons. Worked on 4.5mm needles. With all this lace...

LittleBerry Knits: Thread & Thread alike...

http://littleberryknits.blogspot.com/2010/08/thread-thread-alike.html

Wednesday, 25 August 2010. Thread and Thread alike. Since my last post I have been working a lot with thread (not exclusively) for crocheting. I enjoy the 'popping' it makes over the tiny Clover Soft Touch crochet hook. sad I know but none the less we all have our little quirks. I was introduced (by Ravelry, where else) to the designs of a lady called. From her book - 'Coasters by the Dozen' (LA 3081) all worked in Coats Puppets 'Eldorado' Tkt 10 with a 1.5mm hook. And my hook. I came up with the mat...

I'd Rather be Knitting. A Journal of My Knitterly Life. Monday, 19 November 2007. I am still here, but I've been bitten by the Ravelry. I finished my Inca Zip Jacket while Rogue was blocking. I. You and Your Broken Single. My adventures in fiber. May 6, 2008. Shop Update on Friday. Posted by amysbabies under Uncategorized. So, I have been a busy little bee recently, but I still got a little crafting done. I took these Romney singles. And holding two strands together as I crochet, I made this rug for in front of the back door. It was a fun and fast rug. I started working on my next rug. No photos yet, but it will be the largest project I have ever worked on! So far this one is my favorite. Enter ...

Ancient Lace in a Modern Age. Posted by Heather Tatter. Asymp; 11 Comments. This is the first state fair I’ve ever entered, it it was a fascinating lesson in the bureaucracy of crafts. I have no idea about the judging, but getting my doily in and out was a trial. Anyway, here is the doily I entered, and received second place. The judge’s comments were:. The pattern is from the book. Made in size 10 thread and measures about 40 cm across. You might also like:. Here's to the Lefties. Larr; Previous post.

Weekend In Progress…. | I'm A YarnSnob....

https://yarnsnob.wordpress.com/2011/02/21/weekend-in-progress

I'm A YarnSnob…. Weekend In Progress…. Sew…can I sew? Well I won’t say I’m an experienced seamstress. I mean, I can sew a little, have made duvet covers and pillow cases. I once got full grades at school for making a simple dress with pockets, that I sewed on the front and through the back and couldn’t understand why it wouldn’t slip over my head. A simple tote bag and some curtains but nothing as advanced at this. Who was I kidding, ME….make that? But I did get the final cut and enough to make two bags.

Hand- and machine-knitting, Japanese knitting and crochet. May 21, 2010. What’s on the needles. The other day I cast on for this Pierrot Yarns sweater vest. Click here for Ravelry link. That’s been in my knitting/crochet queue for a long time. There’s a knit-a-long on Ravelry. It’s a lot more yellow and less orange than the photo shows. I’m pretty pleased with it so far. Japanese pattern-reading tutorial: Lesson 4a crochet – dancingbarefoot

https://dancingbarefoot.wordpress.com/2010/02/08/tutorial-lesson-4a-crochet

Hand- and machine-knitting, Japanese knitting and crochet. February 8, 2010. Japanese pattern-reading tutorial: Lesson 4a crochet. The reason the pattern switches to showing symbols in rows rather than in a circle is that for several rows, you’re just going to work even (i.e., no increases), and then you’re going to decrease. It’s hard to chart both increases and decreases in a circular chart, hence the switch to lines. Anyway, just trust the chart! When it’s finished, it should look something like...
