St Pierre du Bois church. Guernsey in the snow Christmas cards. Living Streets (Guernsey) LBG has brought out a set of 8 Christmas cards which depict scenes of Guernsey during the blizzard conditions last March. The Upper Parishes became quite magical with the snow drifts and the trees heavy with snow. Tranquillity Walk 2016 - Sunday 18th September - 2pm. This years Tranquillity Walk will explore the lanes and green lanes in St. Saviour and St. Pierre du Bois. This is one of our major fundraisers in the year. Registration is on the day and costs £5 for adults. Children under 16 go free . Dogs are welcome on a lead. Pat and Tom with Guernsey Post staff in their bright clothes. Road Safety Week 2015 - we encourage islanders to brighten up. Bright Day” is the dress down day we organise each year in order to emphasise the BE SAFE BE SEEN message. This year it was held on 30th October—so just before the clocks go back. Guernsey’s narrow roads and lack of street lighting can be very challenging—particularly on a dark rainy night. This year’s event was a bit disappointing. However, only 3 of those eventually took part.

Living Streets is the national charity working to create safe, attractive and enjoyable streets where people want to walk. We aim to work with all island agencies to press for:. Creation of more pedestrian routes (including pavements). Further pedestrianisation of shopping and living areas. Safe routes to schools and local facilities.
