The "that's hot" comment one student reported got some chuckles. Overall, I would say, there were few overtly homophobic responses. Is it "Minnesota nice" that explains the lack of negativity? Did family members and friends withhold negative attitudes, or were people truly cool with it? Is LGBT studies "hot"?
