The Beijing Shegs: January 2013
http://theshegruds.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 14, 2013. Through the polluted haze. We live right in the center of this huge city and you can't even see the enormous buildings that are more than a block away. Everything is so gray and dreary. Ick Needless to say, we have been staying inside as much as possible this weekend! When we move back to the states, I will have so much more appreciation for clean, safe air to breathe. Friday, January 4, 2013. I had a big moment last week. I actually craved real Chinese food! Joel's school had t...

The Beijing Shegs: April 2013
http://theshegruds.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 21, 2013. Today is Will's first birthday! Just before I started writing this post, Joel and I were browsing through some photos from our very first days in China and I can't believe how much little Will has grown since we've been here! This is the very first picture we took in China! We were SO tired after our long trip. But Will still looked happy and chipper. He's changed so much since then! This is a more current picture.:). So happy birthday my little boy! I can hardly believe the love ...

The Beijing Shegs: Late night breathing problems
http://theshegruds.blogspot.com/2014/03/late-night-breathing-problems.html
Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Late night breathing problems. I am deep in the midst of a pity party this week. Spring is finally here and the weather is warm, but we've been mostly stuck inside because the air has been so unhealthy. Today, it's 70 degrees out but. Will and I only ventured out once (quickly! In our pollution masks to buy groceries. It's absolutely miserable to not be able to go out and enjoy these warm days with our little boy. Holding tight on the subway! The ultimate Smart Car. Yes i mean no.

Sunday, June 29, 2014. We're trying to get her suck, but isn't latching very well. She knows where food is though, throwing her whole body in one direction or the other with her mouth open.like a shark. It's funny. I can't believe how tiny she is either! I was pretty tired. This was taken pretty soon after. Her head is still purple. Instragram collage- isn't she adorable? My feet are still chubby. Posted by CurlyQ and Farmer Boy. June 30, 2014 at 12:54 PM. Monday, April 1, 2013. Blue and Gold Banquet. Nate and I are the Webelos leaders for our ward. It was time for our Blue and Gold Banquet. Sister Bingham planned it so that it was a picnic theme. We wanted it to be simple. So the boys and their families brought blankets to lay on. Each family, got a balloon and picnic basket to be the centerpiece. It was really well done. We had KFC and Capri Suns for dinner. After dinner, we had the chocolate cake from KFC too (my fave! It was a great night! Later when N...

Sunday, March 24, 2013. Nate and I got some new shelves for our living room. We love them! We also found out that Nate got a 4.0 from the previous semester! I am so proud of him! He has really been working hard to finish up his Bachelor's degree. :) I love you, Naters! The snow was all crystalized and looked really cool. Do you see how big they are? After awhile, Mallory and I couldn't feel our toes so we hopped in their car to talk and warm them up. Nate, Jarom and Randall continued to shoot the pis...

Sunday, February 9, 2014. I finished sewing my cow costume! Hopefully, baby girl can wait until after Halloween to make her grand entrance. I want to be pregnant for Halloween simply for this reason alone. Posted by CurlyQ and Farmer Boy. Oct 5 - 6. I feel his message in conference was a sort of global response to my dad's letter (Elder Holland was my dad's religion instructor at BYU and spoke at his baptism, true story). I was so excited! We had to get back so that the boys could go to Priesthood and no...

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. I didn't head out for Salt Lake until Saturday morning. Nate went boarding with Jake and Larry, while I hung out with my family and went to lunch with Hope. I'm sad that she is going to be moving to Michigan for dental hygiene school, but it will be a good move for her. It was so great to visit with her and catch up on life at Zupas. I had never been before and oh my gosh the food is AMAZING! After my visit with Hope, I decided to make a surprise visit with my girl, Tania. Sunday ...
