While I was infected early on with a love of Shays at Cass, I have to admit the underdog Climax is growing on me. For those curious about technology being used for our project:. We log our trekking using a Delorme. PN-20 handheld GPS receiver. Pros: impressive graphics capability, can display TopoUSA maps, scanned USGS quads, or satellite or aerial imagery. Cons: fairly expensive ( $370), satellite and aerial imagery not-so-useful for our purposes, purchasing map imagery gets expensive, some device features could be better. With a few hours to kill, we decided to brave the blustery weather and try to wrap up our survey along Little Shingletown Rd from 2008/04/06.
