Saturday, October 18, 2008. Savannah Georgia in Late Summer. This year I went to Savannah in mid-September. Savannah is one of my favorite cities in the United States, and I have now decided mid to late-September is the most perfect time to go for a number of reasons. First, the weather is not stifiling hot like in can be in mid-July when the humidity can make the middle of the day unbearable.
