NGC7380 - Wizard nebula. Click for full resolution. Open cluster located 11500 l.y. from Earth in the constellation of Cepheus, associated to the HII region known as Sh2-142. Discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1787. Ha data kindly provided by Davide Coverta. SW Quattro 8S 200mm f/4 with Baader MPCC Mark III corrector. Ha - TS 115/800 APO with 0.79 flattener reducer. Astrodon Gen2 Ha 5nm. SW 70/500 with AlCCD5. RA: 22h 47m 23s DEC:58 07' 07" J2000. Pian dell'Armà, Italian Alps. Ha - 16x900s bin 1x1 @ -20 C.

Click for full resolution. IC2118 it's a reflection nebula in Eridanus also known as NGC1909. It glows by light reflected from Rigel, a blue giant in Orion constellation. The estimated distance is 685 l.y. and it's the part of the nebular complex of Orion facing us. In the annotated version there are about 80 galaxies in the background, listed in the catalogs NGC and PGC. RGB data kindly provided by Davide Coverta. Baader L, R, G, B 36mm,.
