Grinnell, Iowa – Jack Taylor set an NCAA record scoring 138 points for Grinnell College in their win against Faith Baptist Bible 179-104 at Darby Gymnasium on Tuesday night. Saturday, May 29, 2010. Memorial Day week-end action. The start of Memorial Day week-end did not stop Little League action in Hampden, although it did shorten the rosters of some teams and forced one to have to forfeit a game. The hot bat of the day on Saturday belonged to Dylan Frost from the Phantom Calls team. Frost had a triple in all three games he played (two scheduled games plus a fill in for a scrimmage game), and drove in at least seven runs on the day helping Phantom Calls win two games. Jordan...

Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Dysart and Manzo lead Phantom Calls to win over Kiwanis. Jordan Dysart and David Manzo combined to drive in four runs in the first inning as the Phantom Calls scored five runs on their way to an 11-5 win over Kiwanis in a Hampden-Newburgh little league major league baseball game. The ball sails off the bat of PHA's David Manzo for a two run home run in the first inning of Monday's little league game in Hampden. PHA defeated Kiwanis 11-5. Photo by Skip Hawkes. Thursday, April 2, 2009. Little League tryouts set for April 5. Hampden-Newburgh Little League has announced that tryouts for the 2009 season will be held on Sunday, April 5 at the new gymnasium at Hampden Academy. Softball tryouts will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for players ages 7 to 12. Baseball tryouts for players age 7 to 9 will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Baseball players ages 10 to 12 will have tryouts from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Friday, July 23, 2010. Hampden Little League hosts State Tournament for 11-12 All-Stars baseball. With the mandate by the Little League East Region to start the 11-12 baseball State Tournament on Saturday, July 24 instead of the planned Friday start time, a new scheduled has been set changing the number of games being played on Sunday, Monday,and Tuesday.
