Wool shopping at high altitude in La Paz | MAKE MY WAY

https://makemywayblog.wordpress.com/2015/07/28/wool-shopping-at-high-altitude-in-la-paz

Published on July 28, 2015. Wool shopping at high altitude in La Paz. Tucked away behind the busy streets of this slightly crazy city, 3700 metres above sea level, is a hidden market packed full of wool. La Paz is not the easiest city to navigate and is an asthmatic cocktail of pollution and high altitude. However, it is worth braving for the shopping! The wool was piled high! I was tempted by the beautiful range of colours in llama and acrylic mixes a bargain at 12 BOB (just over 1) for a 100g ball.

Weaving on the move | MAKE MY WAY

https://makemywayblog.wordpress.com/2015/07/18/weaving-on-the-move

Published on July 18, 2015. Weaving on the move. You don’t need special tools or lots of space to start weaving! You can find or make everything you need to try ‘backstrap’ weaving – which uses a belt around the waist to secure one end of a simple loom. This is my weaving kit. It rolls up into a tiny bundle which fits in my making toolkit. And comes with me on my travels around South America. Carabiner clip from a water bottle. Belt made by me. This entry was posted in:. Make your own loom. July 21, 2015.

Earning my belt in Bolivian weaving | MAKE MY WAY

https://makemywayblog.wordpress.com/2015/06/29/earning-my-belt-in-bolivian-weaving

Published on June 29, 2015. Earning my belt in Bolivian weaving. The next challenge is to make the belt for my loom. I can’t carry on learning the art of Bolivian backstrap weaving without the right tools. For this technique a belt is used to hold one end of the loom against the body. I have been borrowing my teacher’s woven belt but I need to make my own! I love the technique used to change-up one set of threads – so satisfying! This entry was posted in:. Making my toolkit | MAKE MY WAY

https://makemywayblog.wordpress.com/2015/03/29/a-making-on-the-move-toolkit

Published on March 29, 2015. This is my first attempt at putting together everything I need to knit, sew and crochet on the move. My friend Jo made me this beautiful foxy drawstring bag for my birthday, and filled it with useful travelling items like ear plugs, plasters with penguins on, earl grey tea bags, and wet wipes! Making on the move toolkit. Double pointed needles, size 4 (do I need other sizes! Crochet hooks (I’m not sure about crochet yet, but you never know when you might get the urge). New ad...

Completed Brick Jumper | Nettynot Craft

https://nettynot.wordpress.com/2015/02/06/completed-brick-jumper

Nettynot's wonderful world of crafty potterings! Craft Fairs, Shopping and Workshops. The first mention of the jumper, based on a pattern called Brick on Ravelry. Was back in January last year. Where having started the jumper which I’d decided to knit with a lovely deep red colour just looked too Christmasy, so I ripped it back and decided to knit it with cream instead. I completed the sleeves, then I picked up 100 stitches around the neck and finished the neckband Just blocking and I was done! Fill in y...

Sewing Coco | Nettynot Craft

https://nettynot.wordpress.com/2014/05/07/sewing-coco

Nettynot's wonderful world of crafty potterings! Craft Fairs, Shopping and Workshops. Over the bank holiday I eventually got around to sewing Tilly and the Buttons’ Coco pattern. I only bought the pattern nearly 2 months ago – eek. I’ve been challenging myself with a few different sewing techniques recently, mainly making cushions. However sewing my own clothes is a little different. I am quite happy adjusting the odd item of clothing like turning an old dress into a skirt. The blog posts are very easy t...

The Megan Dress | Nettynot Craft

https://nettynot.wordpress.com/2014/11/09/the-megan-dress

Nettynot's wonderful world of crafty potterings! Craft Fairs, Shopping and Workshops. I already had some mid weight cotton fabric in a lovely green colour, which I had bought to make a Hawthorn dress. Then decided it’s not quite right for the pattern), but determined not to buy yet more fabric I decided to check whether the fabric would work for one of the lovely dresses in Tilly and the buttons book Love at First Stitch. I was in luck! Thursday evening I sewed and pressed the darts. My invisible invisib...

Lilou Dress | Nettynot Craft

https://nettynot.wordpress.com/2015/08/16/lilou-dress

Nettynot's wonderful world of crafty potterings! Craft Fairs, Shopping and Workshops. I have recently got into what I would call ‘proper’ dressmaking, actually following a pattern and making considered decisions, rather than just making things up and keeping my fingers crossed. I think my problem was I was getting a bit over whelmed and found the idea of adjusting a pattern very daunting. However with the wealth of information on the internet from blog and helpful hints on Pinterest. Once I fitted the zi...

Beading for Victory | Nettynot Craft

https://nettynot.wordpress.com/2015/08/05/beading-for-victory

Nettynot's wonderful world of crafty potterings! Craft Fairs, Shopping and Workshops. For the last 5 years I have helped my Mum out at the Lunesdale Agricultural show. Having won several 1. Sadly there’s no space to get your name engraved on the trophy (that really would have been the icing on the cake)! I do love a bit of beading on a loom and even more so now that I decided to buy a Jewel loom. I finished knitting earlier this year and a made a small patchwork pin cushion, not up to my usual standard o...

Just another beauty blog. Anastasia Beverly Hills. Часть I: Dipbrow Pomade, Tinted Brow Gel, Brow Scissors. Выучившись на бровиста я начала собирать свой brow kit, конечно, с Anastasia. Сразу оговорюсь, в России покупать ее продукты дорого и бе. Мой любимый жанр - до...

Make My Way One Day At A Time

Make My Way One Day At A Time. Sunday, January 17, 2010. Kind of feel like the old Mervyn's Commercial OPEN OPEN OPEN! That is what happening with me. The girls are all OK and mouthy as ever. Kim is standing over me right now asking what do I think I'm doing? How much privacy does a man need? He is already 2100 miles away. Kendall is zooming right through her 11Th grade and is really into it, imagine that. Her grades are good. Charlee bit me on the finger. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Links to this post.
