I spent all my college breaks working in the Linens department of Marshall Fields and since then I’ve developed an unnatural fondness for fabric. In shades of royal blue, in the market. I cannot even begin to describe the whirlwind that took over my life. But I will try. Last you heard, I was on a fight back to Chicago from Mali, on what was a planned 2 week vacation to “take care of a few work things.”.
